Happy Fish Guesthouse

Location.

I don't recommend this place to anyone having millions of hostels in patong, you'll be treated nicer anywhere else.  I arrived at 11am to do a check in and no one was at reception. I had to ring the number on google maps and eventually after waiting the receptionist came. Which hostel in the world 11am no one is there for a check in, normal working hours? The receptionist, wasn't sorry at all and honestly he's really arrogant more tending to be rude the way he treats you, explains everything etc. I gave him my passport and he was unable to find the picture page. Had to ask me where it was rudely. Wifi and password were not given and given the manners of the receptionist was better idea not to ask seeing how unfriendly is. Building is really old, dirty and not looked after. Especially balconies, furniture (most broken), dirtiness everywhere, and gave the idea the shared rooms are never cleaned or checked. Electric plugs are slightly damaged and don't hold properly on shared rooms. Had to use the entrance one of the room. There aren't bed sheets, it's just a blanket on top of the matress cover. Building is really close to a main street to extremely noisy and imposible to sleep at the weekends. Don't go there.

There isn't any space available apart of the room. The stairs and corridor smell bad.

Its not about liking or not liking. However I would like to suggest they should extra slipper for washroom

The staff was so kind i hate to leave a not great review. They were extremely helpful and the location is very convenient.

Mold problem in the bathroom; it smelled so bad i had to hold my nose every time i entered. The location is convenient but super busy street so very loud all day and night.

The guesthouse was perfectly situated in a quiet alley. In 1 minute you were in the busy street with all the shops and within 10-15 minutes you were at the beach. Staff was nice and really helpful. Our balcony door was broken upon arrival. They got a repair man and the next day it was fixed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The cat in the reception is so cute. The guesthouse has a good location and friendly Staff.

It is quite noisy, during the night as well as it is located at the main street. Additionally, we couldnt close the balcony door properly.
