Kalia Beach Hotel Side

Very friendly staff at the hotel, ONLY at the hotel. Location and nearby beach is very good. No information about restriction of binging drink/food to the beach (which is not allowed). This is not informed on the bookings.com and Is legally not by agreement

Room was a little disappointing. Shower only warm water, mirror to low, lack of shelf in the bathroom. The restaurant and beach is not run by the same people as the hotel (the hotel staff was excellent and polite). But the people on the beach and restaurant simply had no manners regarding treating customers, unprofessional, rude/total opposite of being gentle in several occasions

Close the beach, unique stay experience and in-house Resturant turned bar/club. Beach sunbed and umbrella very good

Bathroom should be arranged but better including the hot water. It’s very basic over there

Staff at the restaurant where breakfast is served is veryyyy slow. They said that breakfast time is from 8 am but you can eat only around 9am because the staff is busy with moving chairs and umbrellas and eating their breakfast. One day we waited about 40 minutes for breakfast (only 3 tables were taken). The breakfast itself is balanced - it contains plate with 4 cheese pieces, 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of cucumber and tomato, peace of orange, bread, and small plates with butter, jam, honey. And some egg thing - one day it is scrambled, other - omelet. BUT this egg thing should be shared for two persons - why serve on one plate? We've been in the company of 5 people, and they give us 2 portions of omelet. When our 6th friend joined us a bit later, and we asked for one more portion they said 'no, you understand it wrong, you should shared it', after some explanations, the waiter understood that there were 6 persons at the table... One waiter accidentally poured hot tea over my wife and didn't even say sorry The beach worker forbade us to take a soft mattress on a beach bed, because "the beach is closed!" at 6 pm when we decided to watch the sunset. Not properly cleaning. There is sand on the floor after cleaning

Very nice staff on reception and at Gua where we had breakfast. It has lovely grounds and is super close to the beach promenade which has lots of restaurants and bars and runs the length of the beach. Lots of sunbeds which were really comfortable and free for hotel guests but were not just for guests of Kalia. Run by Gua and the staff often reserved the best beds (i.e., front row) for people who were paying. Also not allowed to move them so getting shade was challenging. We bought clips and towels to achieve it! Breakfast at Gua was good. No choice as served to the table but always fresh salad, cheese, bread and something hot like omelette. They didn't really seem to understand us being vegetarian and the first day we got the vegan breakfast which was the salad plate and a fruit bowl. So after that we just had it all and didn't eat the meat. Also had lunch from Gua on the beach which was really nice. And wine and cocktails. Plus dinner on our last night on the upper level which was great. Excellent quality food. Overall a really good choice in a great location, only 10-15 minutes walk from the old town but plenty of local places to eat and drink too.

A safe in the room would have been nice. We did use a safety deposit box in reception but in the room would be easier. Also found it odd we had no drinking glasses in the room, only mugs and Gua staff said they couldn't give us any. Gua turns into a club after the dinner service and there is boom boom music until 2am. Our room wasn't too close so it didn't bother us too much but best to check where your room will be if you plan to go to bed before 2am!

Location was perfect walking distance to town and ruins. Beach was clean. Beach staff and restaurant staff very hard working and switched on.

Kids room wasn’t cleaned out properly before they moved in as there was men’s underwear and a handbag left in the wardrobe. Second night one bed sheet wasn’t replaced so there was a bare mattress.. on the last night our shower head broke off. Mosquitoes in the rooms , I asked reception if I could get fly spray, the boy was taken aback apparently in the years of his service never has a guest asked for such a thing? Breakfast service was weird, too much cheese served per person, no juice offered at breakfast for the kids but 800gr of cheese was ? Although we were at the hotel, I had to pay as I went along, so I needed to carry my belongings always. Booking.com said I would have a massage of 15 per room. This was not mentioned nor offered at the property.

Great location. The beach beds are very comfortable. The room was big.

Restaurant overpriced. Be sure to check the bill at restaurant as we had things added we didn’t order. Coffee at breakfast was very bad. The breakfast was good.

Build quality was poor, ac not working well, the forth of the quadruple we stayed in was a sofa and not a real bed
