The Windsor Townhouse Air conditioned rooms

Lovely location and the staff were so welcoming. Felt really homely, our room was lovely.

Unfortunately I think our room was under the kitchen or laundry and I could hear the washing machine or dryer going for most of the night which was a shame as otherwise the hotel was really quiet, couldn't hear any of the other guests.

Room was a bit tired. Whole room and bathroom needs repainting. Bath in bathroom unusable as too small. Could be replaced by a walk-in shower. Shower curtains are not ideal. Wooden toilet seat a no no! Looks very cheap! Bedroom furniture a little basic. Matress too soft for me but that is just personal preference. Breakfast portions were quite small. Toast needs to be served in a rack to keep crispy. Food not that hot on arrival. Chef needs to learn how to cook eggs! Boiled eggs on day 1 returned as uncooked and with all fried eggs, the white was runny. For £175 per night, I expected more. Staff very cheery and helpful though. A few tweaks and attention to detail and we would happily return.

Une localisation très agréable dans une maison historique, ce qui en fait un hôtel de charme. Á 20mn á pieds de la gare, 10 du centre historique et trés proche de 2 jolis parcs, dont un avec jeux d’enfants. Décoration soignée et détails de confort agréables. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié dans une belle salle à manger

L’absence d’ascenseurs peut être gênante car les chambres sont sur 3 étages et le dernier escalier est étroit et raide. Trés petite douche dans la chambre pour une personne.

Staff were excellent. Place was lovely. Location was great. Overall we were very impressed

Faulty cistern was a problem but we temporarily fixed ourselves. Veggie breakfast was a bit cold & egg undercooked . All minor in scheme of things
