Sailing Hotel Phú Quốc

The room was not clean when we checked in. We commented on it and they said the guy was going to take care of it while we were out. Once we returned he said he was done, but when checking the room it was the same condition..??? Seemed like nothing had been done. Maybe clean is subjective, but I don't appreciate when the floor has lots of hair and the bathroom not clean, and surfaces not wiped. :-<

Nice 2 star hotel with friendly staff. The windows are not soundproof so bring some earplugs to counter the night club across the street. The location is fantastic. Five minutes to the beach and five minutes to the night market. The Wi-Fi is slow and spotty but it works. The breakfast is made to order. The staff doesn’t speak much English but there are plenty of tour operators within walking distance to help you.

i was shocked when i came into a moldy room with hair in the bed :( dont know where the great reviews coming from n i had hope somebody would post something like that before i booked... phu quoc is dissapointing whens come to affordable but still nice hotel ...

You gave us the absolut best experience and service. Cleened the room everyday perfectly, Good breakfast, helped us printing our flight ticket and even offered us a room to shower in even though we already checked out. This is simply amazing and unique.

Great clean new hotel and very good value for money. Stayed here 15 nights whilst I explored Phu Quoc. I highly recommend this place if you want better than a B&B for a little more money. Short walk to the beach maybe 5mins.

We saw three rats in the lobby that went to the kitchen and told the staff, they didn't care. We had some ants in the room. There wasn't a trashcan in the room and the cleaning lady didn't take out the trash. Wifi was terrible. Staff didn't speak English and they tried to charge us from the minibar and we hadn't taken anything from it. So i wouldn't recommend this place.

The positives first -- the room was comfortable, water pressure in shower excellent, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Pretty much ends there, as there was a lot of construction around the property plus loud, bass-heavy music playing nearby at night which made it hard to sleep or relax in the room. Breakfast was poor and the egg/toast dishes were often served cold. To top it all off, the worst part about the experience was really the hotel staff -- who were unfriendly and unhelpful. English level is poor so when they don't understand what you need, they just say "no" repeatedly. Plus the so-called manager that would sit at the desk all day would scowl at you every time you walked in and out. The unfriendly vibe and attitude of the staff just kills any positive about the place. Do not stay more than one night here if you can manage.

I would call this basic but then for the price it was adequate. For our purpose only a one night stay.

Strong wifi, good A/C, but watch out for insects creeping in through the gaps near the windows
