Hotel Maria del Carmen

The staff were very nice (especially Jony). Room was clean with nice beds. Really liked the location close to restaurants and downtown shopping and activities.

Most of the waiting staff were unhappy and some were actively rude which had a big impact on our stay. We had to leave early most mornings, and the breakfast always took about 20 to 30 mins to arrive, so we just opted for the continental but even that was slow. We asked if we could take away the coffee in our own take away mugs, and two staff refused even though there was no issue previously. When I followed up to ask why we couldn't I found them both laughing about the situation. I never encountered that kind of hostility in what is supposed to be an area of hospitality. We would never stay there again for this very reason. It was also very noisy some nights with people talking loudly in the corridors and going between rooms. There was one very helpful waitress, she was kind and tried to accommodate our request. The cleaning staff were also very good.

Staff limited to make decisions. Toilet was broken they made us wait instead of moving us to another room. They let us know they needed the managers approval they did have rooms. The manager never answered. So we had to leave our luggage at the front desk went to dinner while they fixed the toilet. No apologies given.

i didn't like the fact that the first nigh they didn't have a control for the tv , and the stuff was not so helpful

Pool area is very nice, hotel close to plaza grande. Breakfast was included and choices were unlimited.

No table and chairs in the room, only a vanity. No mini fridge in the room. No cushions on pool lounge chairs. Only one towel per person in the bathroom.

Breakfast mediocre and boring Location good

Lighting in bedroom and bathroom is horrible. Very basic furniture
