We thoroughly enjoyed our stay recently with lovely Katy, and Stephen. The property was only a short distance from Whitby, the coast, but also many Interesting sights, a d beautiful villages around the North York Moors. We found the room was excellent, clean, very comfortable, and was well equipped with all we needed.

The room was lovely, very modern & clean. The views from the terrace outside are amazing. The fresh bread & jams (homemade) are very nice & you can purchase them to take home. The hosts are very pleasant & were lovely to chat to. We were shown around the room & then left to our own devices. There is no curfew, just respect. Take your shoes off at the door & make yourself at home.

The setting was beautiful. The area was so quiet and relaxing. Although we only met Katy and Stephen when we were checking out, the kept in regular contact by email giving us clear instructions for arrival and departure, with updates as needed. They were a lovely, friendly couple that wanted our stay to be perfect. We slept so well especially as the room was so silent all night. The homemade bread was delicious and such a treat alongside yoghurts, selection of spreads, fruit juice, milk and filtered water al delivered to our room each day. Would not hesitate to stay with them again.

The room is very clean and decorated well. The bed is comfortable bathroom is a good size. The fresh bread is a nice touch. The location is picturesque with a nice view from the window etc. the owner is nice and has tried to think of anything that you might need.

I admit I'm the worst person to ask I have over 20 years experience of every role related to hotel and B&B so I know how it SHOULD be. First it shouldn't be advertised as a B&B it's a spare room renovation. They have tried to give everything needed but the rating was far from exceptional as others have said. Breakfast is not just some bread you toast. B&B is a full English or worst case continental. You need to either have a large toaster without sliced slots or buy the tin fresh bread rectangular the round loaf doesn't fit in the 2 slice toaster provided so one person has to eat separately you can't toast for 2 at a time. Toast and porridge isn't a continental breakfast. No meat/cheese fruit etc. there wasn't enough sugar for 2 people to have 2 sugars per drink the average amount per person and it's brown so you need more. As for finding the place i got messages about taking shoes off and turning the TV off before leaving and other requirements but didn't get anything like park in front of the wooden 3 door garage that would have been helpful instead of instructions when leaving. Oh and the TV is in the wrong place you get a crick in your neck watching at an angle and you can't pull out and point because the cable is too short.

Fantastic hosts, amazingly spacious and comfortable room, the freshly baked bread is an absolute treat.

It really is in the middle of nowhere! Nice in some aspects, but I needed to take my car to get anywhere interesting.
