the VIEW. Breathtaking - of all of Amalfi. The private terrace from our room was so worth it. The location was ideal, a short walk to anything in Amalfi. The owners helped us organise a private taxi transfer from Naples airport at a good price - the driver was so friendly and accommodating in a spacious vehicle. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good - amazing view from our breakfast place. The room appeared refurbished recently and was very clean.

It is very expensive, the room for 4 was small of course, it was good enough for us for 2 nights but might be a little cramped for longer than that. The ceiling in this room is very low and we ended bumping our heads for a lot of our stay unfortunately. But it was worth it for the location & view.

We just wrapped up 3 nights at Villa Anna Lara. Two 55 yr old. couples and our adult daughters. We occupied 3 rooms. Salvatore (owner) and team Roberta (makes amazing coffee) took wonderful care of us! Salvatore is typically present 13 hrs. a day, helped with hiking suggestions and restaurant recommendations. The refrigerator, extra blanket and hair dryer were much appreciated. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, away from the crowds with the best view in town. There is a lift to get your suitcases up to the hotel. If you have mobility issues this will not be your place, as there are a number of stairs to ascend. If you want a 5-star hotel, go elsewhere. The price we were quoted in our email was the price we paid. Breakfast was included and quite good. If you are looking for a hot "American breakfast" go to a restaurant. Final payment is in Cash/no C.C. We had a wonderful couple day, loved Salvatore and his accommodating team. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is quiet, far from the noise of tourism, but not so far for walking with the bags; bear in mind that Amalfi is pretty small. The views are fantastic; it has a private table outside the rooms and a garden above them too. The breakfast was good, and the staff was gentle.

The appartment was clean, however I did not reserve an apartment.

I wish I could have actually been able to enjoy what I reserved and paid for, which was a deluxe room with a hot tub in a hotel on top of the hill with a garden view, ( quoting exact description of my reservation with pictures of a lovely room.) Instead when we showed up we weren’t even staying in the hotel, we were taken to an appartment in a residential building across the street from the actual hotel. Actual apartment was ok, but it had very noisy neighbors on top of us and in the next door building who were screaming in the all evening hours and moving furniture and drilling something in to the walls. Additionally, this apartment was right on the main road of the town, so cars and bikes driving right under our windows. The only reason I booked this hotel was because it was supposed to be on the top of the hill away from busy street, instead we got shoved into some apartment. When I asked if we could have the room in the actual hotel I was told no it’s not possible, no other explanation. I double checked on booking and apartment is not even an option to book for this hotel, and all the reviews refer only to the hotel, so not sure what happened because I booked many months ago. Either they double booked it at higher rate and decided to give us the Cinderella treatment or they just simply don’t care, so if you planning to stay there watch out.

Maybe it was just the case for the one room we stayed in as it was right behind the reception but we had an issue with condensation. The bathroom door doesn’t seal and anytime we showered we found anything that was hanging up was damp and the tiles in the entire apartment were slippy. The room was right behind the reception so we couldn’t keep the window open. Would give this a 9/10 stay if they improved the extraction system!

There is lots to like at Villa Annalara. First of all the host Salvatore was super accommodating (we had a slightly later check-in). The room was super spacious and looked onto the shared balcony. Breakfast was great!

The place is well located so you are near hiking trails and as close to the square, the beach, etc. It is well-maintained and the host tries his best to help. Breakfast was ample, tasty and you have it on the trrrace and have your fill of the beauty of Amalfi

Charming house just as soon as the cluster of shops and restaurants start to finish, so in a very quiet area, high up so that you see the village beneath you. Amazing views until the sea. Just a 10 minute walk until the seafront. Place was very clean. Bfast was very good with a nice selection of both savoury & sweet items, including eggs. Elevetar takes you up from street level to the house, you only need to take 1 small flight of stairs.

The grounds and view from the property are beautiful. The lift is very much appreciated so you don’t have to climb all the stairs up from the road! The hosts were very kind.

The smart TV isn’t connected to the internet so you don’t have the services usually available on it - but I didn’t ask the hosts about this issue so because it wasn’t important.
