The Venus room at Glendower Homestead

Great set-up for a weekend retreat away from life. Close enough for the finer things in life, wine, dining, and travel destinations, but relaxed enough to lounge and read a book.

Beautiful accomodation, can’t fault it!! Jen made a delicious cake for us on arrival, enjoyed the bath, the china cups and plates, the great assortment of tea’s and coffee’s and the stroll through the amazing grounds. The peacefulness and serenity is lovely. The linen on the bed was 10/10 The bed was very comfortable, electric blanket, blankets to sit out on the lawn to star gaze at night, everything was well thought of and catered to. Loads of room in the walk in wardrobe and the large wall mirror was great. The history of the house in the books provided was amazing and very interesting! If we ever come to the Wairarapa again we will definitely book The Venus room again. Driving up through the bush entrance was beautiful, the horses and baby lambs, the well kept gardens, the pool and the pool room and its history, we absolutely loved our 1 night stay, would of loved to have stayed longer, the bathroom is an absolute gem!!! Thank you Jen, this is by far one of the best places we have stayed, we loved it here 💖

The beautiful setting, the warm welcome we received with added extras, a home made cake! Yogurt, muesli and added bits a pieces. Jen and Jim are an absolute treasure! This was opulence and kiwi magic at its best!

The decor, room layout and facilities are exceptional. Our host Jen was warm and very friendly also our welcome cake was wonderful. I highly recommend this for a romantic get away

We had an absolutely lovely stay here. Every little detail had been thought of, and the room was perfectly clean, and beautifully appointed. The location is super quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 mins from town. We relaxed and enjoyed our stay, and were even supplied with a home-made cake! We will be visiting again.
