A nice walk into Bath unless it was raining

Shared bathroom between 5 rooms meant it was sometimes occupied and the hallway had a bit of a smell, possibly from the carpet. The kitchen was also a bit rundown so I didn't use it at all.

I can't hand on my heart say there was anything to like?

Received code to retrieve keys from keybox and also informed of which room in property. Entered code but no keys when flap dropped down. Saw inner door was ajar so decided to go to my room and hopefully keys will be in door. No keys in door so I entered the room to find a young naked couple in flagrante on the bed.. I informed them I was booked in this room for the night. They informed me they were booked in for two nights and this was their second night. I phoned the contact number but it went to voicemail. After a few mins a staff member arrived to presumably clean up? Informed her of what had happened. Eventually she found me another room.

Price

Check in communication was poor. As we were travelling did not receive all the communication details until it was too late. Was given one room to start with then a 2nd room later. Then I replied thank-you. I never received the 3rd message until sometime during the night. By this stage we had brought ourselves to the realisation that we were sleeping in a dirty room with dirty sheets etc. The 3rd message was to confirm that we were to stay in the first room that was given on the first lot of communication. We moved to this room for the 2nd night of our stay. This room was clean with clean sheets and towels. Late check in 6.00pm. No toilet paper.

We had the big bedroom on the ground floor, pretty good. The reviews were terrible so we expected it to be worse than it was. Very much a shared house. Not the owners fault, but the dirty sods in before, the toilet and the bathroom were disgusting, I cleaned it before using it! Easy access to Bath. Surprisingly quiet although there was only one other couple in the building. Served its purpose and was reasonably priced.

Although it has been tarted up it still looks dirty and very dated. The ceiling in the kitchen has collapsed at some point and the mess has been cleared away it looks a bit rough.
