Fairfield Inn & Suites Lansing West

The front desk manager Tisha was very kind and helpful. Only place we could eat that night due to late hour was Applebees about a mile away. Had breakfast that was acceptable in the morning. Beds comfortable, room was clean, but what sticks in my mind was the friendliness of the night manager.

This hotel was dirty. The beds were not comfortable. To top it all off, we did not feel safe.

This hotel cancel reservation without sufficient notice. We ended up struggling to find a lodging place at night. I would not recommend it. they can not find alternatives. I regret booking this hotel.

This hotel does not deserve the Marriott brand. The stench/odor that other reviewers mention is MOLD. I’m an asthmatic and my husband a home inspector and the smell of mold was so strong we had to leave and book elsewhere. It’s a shame because this used to be our go-to hotel before the pandemic. I’ve heard the new owners are not interested in investing in this property but just want to make money in its ‘as-is’ condition. Should change the name to Motel 6 (better yet, Mold-tel 6!). I’m going to report this substandard hotel to Marriott as it does not deserve the name.

Food was good.

My toilet seat was loose. Not sure why the housekeeping does not tell Maintenance when cleaning it to tighten the seat.

The breakfast was delicious. Hotel was clean. Room was ok.

That the pool was closed but said it no where online. That we had a conjoining room but luckily it was locked, but had to listen to the people having sex twice.
