The Rowanberry Suite at Rowan Cottage

The apartment is cosy and has an amazing view of the Loch......it's location in idyllic. The accommodation is over 30 minutes from a 'major road', but the drive is absolutely worth it...stunning views.

The only thing that could have been better is the quality of the towels in the bathroom.

Our stay at Ruth’s cottage was truly unforgettable. First of all, the Isle of Skye itself is simply surreal. The landscapes are breathtaking, unique, and unlike anywhere else we have ever visited. Every turn reveals another stunning view, making the island a destination that exceeds expectations in every possible way. Ruth’s cottage is perfectly positioned in one of the most exclusive and secluded parts of the island. It is located near the very end of a quiet road, giving you a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquility. It feels like one of the last homes on Skye, surrounded by nature and far from the crowds. It is important to know that reaching the cottage is part of the adventure. The road becomes quite winding and narrow, with single-track sections shared by traffic in both directions. Drivers should take their time and pay close attention, especially if they are not used to this type of road. However, the reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The cottage itself is incredibly charming and cozy. The bed is wonderfully comfortable, and waking up to views of the loch is something we will never forget. Ruth has thoughtfully provided a collection of books about Scotland and the Isle of Skye, DVDs to enjoy in the evenings, and many other small touches that make the stay feel special, personal, and unique. But the true heart of this experience is Ruth herself. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel genuinely welcome. Her kindness, warmth, and attention to detail shine through everything she does. She is passionate about the island, eager to share recommendations and stories, and has created a place that reflects her generous spirit. You can feel how much care and love she has put into making every guest’s stay memorable. If you are looking for luxury hotels and busy tourist areas, this may not be the place for you.

Het was een schoon cosy cottage . Heel knus. De host Ruth was zo vriendelijk kwam ff een praatje maken echt super leuk. Zij had extra haar best gedaan omdat ik een allergie heb. Geweldig

Prachtige, rustige locatie, gezellig appartement, van alle gemakken voorzien. We voelden ons erg welkom door de attente ontvangst van Ruth. Zeer ruim ontbijt!

De weg er naar toe is spannend. Smalle, steile wegen gedurende 30 minuten. Maar Ruth stuurde van te voren een uitgebreide route beschrijving.

Le logement possède une vue magnifique, il est vraiment cosy et agréable on y resterait presque toute la journée au chaud à boire un chocolat chaud, à manger du popcorn devant un film de Noël.

La route est un peu difficile d’accès mais le logement en vaut le détour.
