Rare opportunity to stay at a historical house like the pilgrims. The family explained the history of the house. Offered a great breakfast.

Staying here was magic. The hosts welcomed you in like family members, offering a quiet and restful accommodation. I slept better here than anywhere on my long trip. The location is excellent, close to bus stops, restaurants, konbini, and Fujisan. The cultural history is felt deeply here and the hosts share how these traditional Oshi houses played a special role in Fuji pilgrimage. It was hard leaving, this will always hold a special place in my heart.

The history of this 450 year old structure, still in the hands of the original family that catered to pilgrims who came to climb and worship the holy Mt Fuji. The family, who live there, still have a connection to this history. They have a cafe there and offer coffee and home made granola for breakfast. You definitely feel the historical connection,s you stay in a Japanese style house.

They’ll fill the large hot tub for your use, but it wasn’t very hot.

The quality and looks of the historical building and the reception and explanation of the owners about it. The bathrooms were spacious and clean while still fitting within the idea of the house.

The breakfast options are limited, but there are multiple options nearby to offset this.
