Grade II Listed House near Chatsworth

House was a great size with lots of space for outdoor eating. A very attractive character property and comfy furnishings. Very well kitted out and endless hot water.

The fridge was too small for 8-10 people to store food and drink - there’s plenty of space for a second! WiFi was very intermittent. Road is noisy in the mornings.

Communications ahead of time including photos of the drive and how the key lock worked were all great and clear. I felt I knew before I got there what to expect. Welcome basket was a nice touch.

Wifi only really works in the kitchen/dining room. TV is wired into the wall but you can't really use your own devices in the rest of the house.

Dining room was a bit dark. Hot water supply wasn’t sufficient for 6 people wanting to shower in the evening

A beautiful period stone house decorated with an eye for aesthetic beauty. The weather was warm and we enjoyed the beautiful spring garden, the flowers and blossom. The children loved playing outside and we enjoyed some lovely family meals around both the indoor and outdoor tables. We were given a stock of firewood and spent evenings around the fire. We had easy access to Chatsworth House and Gardens. We had a great stay enjoyed by all.

Nothing of significance.The dining room lighting could be a little brighter but that’s a very small thing.

Almost everything really - great location for exploring beautiful Derbyshire, lovely house with really high quality interior, and wonderful hosts who went out of their way to help us. Special mentions include the gorgeous fire in the living room, the brilliant toys for our young children, and really generous bedroom/bathroom space.

Nothing that wasn't already made clear in the listing. As you can see from the photos, the garden isn't enormous. And you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another if you need all 5. But again, that's all clear from the information on the listing.
