Grade II Listed House near Chatsworth

Fantastic property in an excellent location for our visits to Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. The house has everything needed for a very comfortable and pleasurable stay. we can't commend it highly enough.

There was nothing we didn't like

The house was lovely and well equipped, perfect for what we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities for the baby were also very good. The kids especially liked the top room with the games and ntendo.

The house had everything we needed. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely classy decor. The welcome hamper was a treat. Digital door lock good idea for multiple guests.

Very squeaky bedroom door in room 1 😆 We opened the door to the cellar and nearly fell down steps .. think it needs to be kept locked or a to have a warning sign on the door.

Loved the location and the roomy property. The facilities were excellent and the kitchen was well equipped.

The attic rooms were a bit cold and a couple of the window panes were broken There was also some road noise due to the house position

Perfect location for the Cancer Research big Hike we were doing as a family. The bedrooms were great and the place had everything you could imagine to need; choice of shower products, hair dryers, cheese graters, utensils, bbq… everything! Prompt information to check in. The Switch console was a great addition and the games were fab. Twin room and ensuite room beds were voted the most comfy beds ever slept in.

The only negative thing to say was the Wifi wasn’t very good (only worked in the kitchen and dining room) but we didn’t need it much and imagine the area isn’t great for wifi.

PLEASE LOCK THE CELLAR DOOR !!!! No warning sign on the door one of our party nearly fell down the steps ...It really is a health and safety issue I would hate for anyone to fall down the cellar!! Shower in twin bedroom not working and toilet does not flush well No co2 alarm in lounge for log burner

Great location. Very helpful host. Very close to excellent pub, Grouse and Claret.

Difficulty in finding private parking place.

The communication with the host was super. Location was ideal for our needs and the property itself was absolutely perfect! Very homely and equipped with everything you could need and more! A home from home stay, can't recommend it highly enough! Enclosed garden great for kids, enough room to park 3 cars at the property and still sit outside comfortably. This place is a real gem!! Fully equipped kitchen, large living room, dining room, games room, utility, 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms all set in an idyllic little village.

Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! I have nothing negative to say about the property or the lovely hosts.
