"Ok for a night when the weather is good, not sure the cost for two people is acceptable"

6.0

Having a bbq on the decking with the sun going down was lovely.

The communal area and fridge for storing food is not the cleanest and be care to tell the owner exactly what food you have put in there or it will be taken and eaten by the staff

"Comfortable, warm & peaceful."

8.0

The wooden chalet was located on a farm and was very peaceful, warm and comfortable. At night all you could hear were sheep and birds. A tawney owl serenaded us each night. The log fire was cosy and there was a plentiful supply of wood. The decor was eclectic and quirky with a mix of modern and old furniture which felt very homely. There were even books and games in the sitting room. There wasn't a kitchen as such but there was plenty of cutlery and plates etc, a microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. The shared fridge was in the next hut along which was always accessible. Each room had a heater in case you didn't want to light the fire. There was an electric power shower in the bathroom. An added touch of flowers and home produced apple juice was very welcoming. We had clear skies both nights and with no light pollution we could see so many stars and even the Milky Way when it rose in the early hours. Location wise it was very close to Bodiam Castle and a nearby village. Martin the owner was welcoming and approachable. Being springtime there were even lambs in the field near our chalet 😊

We really enjoyed our stay but you have to be aware that this is a farm with a very rough track leading to the property. Go slowly and avoid the bumps if you don't have a high car. We scraped our exhaust before working out the best way along the track. The chalet is not modern but the lounge and bedroom seem to be freshly decorated and very homely. If you're expecting a 4* hotel room then go to a hotel. This is a wooden chalet on a farm and we were pleasantly surprised how big and comfortable it was.

Martin and the staff were great and really helpful. The views and the location was amazing. My daughter loved the chicken , sheep's and the cat.We had a great Bbq. The property is really cosy with little kitchenette ( fridge, kettle, toaster....).Bathroom had everything from A to Z.

I felt in my opinion that the price for this property was bit too high.

"Lovely Rustic Stay"

10.0

We had a lovely stay, Martin was a great host. When we arrived Martin had already started the log fire so was all warm and cosy. The farm was a great location so tranquil, rustic and beautiful. Our little one loved feeding the sheep and chasing the chickens. We didn’t realise the facilities that were available tea, coffee, milk, snacks, kettle, microwave as didn’t say on the advert. We did go down to the local pub, the castle inn, great food! Wish we had stayed longer!
