"Absolutely superb :)"

10.0

Gorgeous little hideaway, so cosy and absolutely perfect for us and our 16 month son. A travel cot was provided for us and we set it up in the little living room which was perfect. We arrived later than expected and Martin was very accommodating and friendly, greeting us when we arrived. He’s lit the fire so it was warming the cabin for us when we arrived. He had even thought to warm the bed with an old fashioned bed warmer for us as it’s freezing cold! We were so incredibly impressed with all the things provided, above and beyond the necessities. If you are looking for a cosy/romantic getaway, in a beautiful setting I would 100% recommend this hideaway :)

Everything was lovely

"We enjoyed the area very much and my friend was very pleased with her bedroom."

7.0

The fire was good in warming the main area. The facilities were as expected. It is indeed in a very quiet area.

An information booklet would have been useful, giving details of how to work the coffee machine for example and the Dimplex bathroom heater, which cord we only noticed on the final morning. It was therefore much too cold to use the shower. The rooms smelt musty on our arrival and the log fire did not improve the situation. The bed settee in which I slept had not been cleaned sufficiently well as there was confetti or some such on the mattress and on the floor beneath the settee. I was very cold at night but as the heater in the room would have been very close to the bed and bedding I chose not to use it. Having to wash plates, cups and cutlery in the bathroom wash basin did not seem very hygienic. I think this chalet is ideal for summer use but not at this time of year. I appreciate Martin is a decent chap who needs the income from these rentals, but work needs doing to bring it up to standard.

"we had a very nice stay, thank you."

8.0

Loved the wood burner and the location. Also loved the mix of art deco and assian decore.

track up to cottage was a bit hard on my car as i didnt have a lot of ground clearance. Could do with a bit of filling in on the corners or the middle scalping out?

"Idyllic secluded location in a quiet and cosy cabin."

Idyllic, secluded location in a quiet and cosy cabin. Martin gave us everything we needed including guidance for walking routes, pubs and a lit fire on arrival. Thank you so much for hosting us - we had a really lovely time.

"Wonderful Stay at Bramley Farm"

10.0

Wonderful stay at Bramley Farm. This is such a special and serene place, with sheep, chickens, wild deer in the woods and very atmospheric ancient orchard. The farm has beautiful sunsets, land and peaceful countryside and starry sky. Martin is a lovely, warm and generous host, very helpful with directions and such a kind offer of a local pick up to the farm. The chalet is ambient, has a high standard of cleanliness, many useful kitchen items and a very comfortable bed. A bowl of fruit, organic salad items and toiletries were additional thoughtful items and Martin's homemade oak leaf wine was splendid. A lovely walk to Bodium castle and through the farm woods to the local White Dog Inn, which has an impressive cheese board selection. Bramley Farm...just has to be highly recommended for a second visit.

I would not wish to change anything about this stay, perfect destination

"Wonderful time in a small peaceful farm in the East Sussex countryside."

10.0

Peaceful small farm in the East Sussex countryside, strategically located for reasonably quick access by car to the beach, and other places around. There is access to a filed just 15m away from the room with fire pit for camp fires, and also to a large deck with garden furniture, BBQ, small trampoline, etc. next to the filed. Spectacular views and sunsets. Martin is very helpful, full of information for local activities, places to eat and see. There was also beach kit of all sorts available to borrow from him such as wind shield, chairs and toys for the kids. We had wonderful few days there.

"Cosy countryside retreat, perfect for rest and reconnecting with nature."

10.0

Everything! The host was very welcoming and helpful, they let us try homemade birch wine and a bottle of apple juice was left in our room, all made from ingredients directly off the land we were staying on. The little cottage itself was gorgeous, cosy, comfortable and had far more facilities than I expected - a microwave, fridge and private bathroom for example. (I often glamp and expect much less!) It's located very close to the castle with beautiful walks all around, plus the option to build a campfire close to pens of beautiful farm animals. Our very short stay was amazing!

There wasn't anything I wasn't happy with, just wish I had had time to stay for a few more nights haha!
