Very friendly staff, the rooms, dining, location

There were a few basic items that the hotel ran out of - napkins and water bottles for example. In the gym, there were only three cardio machines and 1 was not working. This hotel appears to be working out some kinks.

Everything was truly amazing

This was an experience! From check in (champagne served) to check out it was a memorable stay! I love the old and new concept decor, antiques placed thoughtfully throughout the property added an endearing feel. Restaurant located inside (Wye Oak Tavern 5pm to 11pm ) food was amazing (my husband says it's the best burger in town. I had the crab cake and it was all lump meat. Yummy (you need reservations so book ahead you don't have to be a guest staying at the hotel). The bar inside use to be a sanctuary (stunning views). The bartenders are skilled, attentive, professional, friendly and they make superb drinks( you can order food here after 5pm no rsvp needed). They did not disappoint one bit! Rooms are cozy and well decorated. Bedding was soft, crispy clean and relaxing. We appreciated the short history welcome letter. Art work was displayed throughout the hotel, this added a luxurious feel walking through. This place is simply put charming! The location is perfect! The art & history of the building was cool. The hotel looks very nice, well done!

Our room was on the 1st floor below the restaurant, so we could constantly hear stomping. Could hear anyone that walked by our window outside or in the hallway. I was on the site when it was under construction & it had basically been gutted, so I’m not sure why more insulation wasn’t added to help with sound. The door to the bathroom was a barn door that kept rolling open & left a large gap even when closed. The bed was decent for comfortability. I felt it was a little overpriced to pay almost $400 for a night, based on what you get.

We were told that Expedia miscalculated the availability and that there were no rooms available. We had to book elsewhere.

Hotel was outstanding! Staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Facilities were amazing….great execution on the repurposed facility. Location couldn’t have been any more convenient for walking Downtown Frederick. Only criticism would be checking in via valet parking was awkward. We’ll be back to stay here again for sure!
