The lack of double glazing meant that it is extremely noisy at night and early in the morning with the road sweeper, bin man and deliveries all starting at 6am…we had to resort to buying Earplugs!

The location (but it also has it's downsides) and the space. It's a lovely apartment, very nicely and tastefully modernised. Two nice bathrooms with showers.

It is VERY noisy in the week from about 5am onwards when the lorries start delivering to the shops on the street. Friday night was horrendous because all the restaurants are nearby and drunk people are screaming and shouting till about 3am. Then the lorries started at 5am on Saturday morning. As it's an original Tudor building, the front windows are original so offer no sound proofing. The main bedroom is on the roadside, fortunately our children were in the second bedroom at the back which was A LOT quieter with modern windows. Parking is awkward. There are plenty of 1 hour (not return within 2 hours) around so you have to move your car around a bit. It's free from 6pm to 8am though which was handy. Unless you drive an original tiny Mini, the NCP park is terrible for normal cars and very expensive. Found a great car park down by the river which is £4 a day and about a 5-10 minute walk to the car.

Great location, nice style and layout, much nicer than staying in a hotel.
