The high ceilings, the view from the windows and the locations. The kitchen was well Equipped and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean

The sofa in the lounge is quite uncomfortable and not big enough for 4.

A beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. It's spacious, very clean and well stocked for your stay. Great communication from hosts before and during our stay.

There wasn't anything to dislike!

A really beautiful, unique place in a fantastic location in the middle of town, close to everything. Some absolutely gorgeous little touches in terms of furnishings. Dishwasher tablets, coffee, etc left for our use. Others had cited issues with maintaining a decent temp in one of the showers in the bathrooms but we found no issues so not sure if that's been resolved or just our personal taste

I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like at all but, the back bedroom was looking a little tired and not set up as per the pictures, but didn't mind that so much. When the boiler kicks in for the heating and hot water, it's very loud. As noted by other guests, the windows at the front of the property do nothing to prevent sound coming in off the streets and it can be horrendous tbh, but that's down to revellers and folk not appreciating or caring how loud they are after a few drinks. I can say that as I know I can be one of those people 😬🤣. Appreciate that as it's a beautiful, old building we have to be careful about modifications but I suspect there are genius ways to add secondary glazing that would not detract from the beauty of the original lead windows or interfere with the integrity. It would also help with heat retention I'm sure. The small radiator in the front room needs bleeding. The kitchen bin is tiny and I'd like to suggest separate bins for recycling if they can be accommodated in the kitchen cupboards maybe. There is a metal staircase to be navigated to get to the apartment, so just a note for anyone staying that it may be slippy. And the handle on the TV cabinet needs replacing. It's a minor point but when the rest of the lounge area looks so beautiful, it's a shame to let it down

There weren't enough seats to sit and relax there was one 3 seater sofa and chairs that were around the table we were a group of 4 ladies and found that we couldn't sit and relax, it would have been fine if there were only 2 people using the apartment

Good central location. Plenty of cafés, restaurants, pubs and shops within easy walking distance.

The road is very busy and noisy, especially with late night revellers on Saturday night. Monday morning was incredibly noisy from 4am onwards with delivery lorries, refuse collections, road sweepers, and general traffic. The apartment is only accessible by outside stairs, which, when wet, are quite slippy, so probably not suitable for some people.

The apartment looked very nice. Clean. Spacious. All the facilities you'd expect. Location in the center of town is perfect.

A large number of small issues marred the trip however, the apartment is in serious need of some maintenance. Neither of the showers work properly - something broken in the mixer taps. Eventually we managed to get a tolerable temperature out of one of them. The other was either freezing cold or scalding hot, nothing in between. I see from reading back the reviews that people have been complaining about this issue for months without it having been fixed. The street noise in the front bedroom at night made sleeping in there impossible. We ended up retreating to the back bedrooom. Luckily only two of us were staying or this wouldn't have been property. The listed nature of the building means those windows can't be changed, but there's nothing stopping some secondary glazing being added behind the existing features. The back bedroom had no working lights. Another lamp in the property was found to be missing its lightbulb too. The mirror in the back bedroom fell off the wall onto the bed, could have been dangerous. The dining room chairs almost collapsed on us. We had to tighten a number of screws to make them safe to use.
