The room and the entire property was very modern and clean. There were complimentary drinks and snacks provided for us and also the very strong air conditioning. Despite being very top of the hill (which might be slightly difficult with many big luggages but they offer paid porter service), the view was spectacular! Martha and her husband were really friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend to join their sunset boat tour - a perfect activity to do in riomaggiore! Will definitely come back in the future!!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had the most incredible view of riomaggiore. Our host Martha was exceptional. She was extremely resourceful and made our experience 10x better by helping with dinner reservations, boat tour reservations, and responded through WhatsApp within seconds every time we had a question. My fiancé and I have been in Europe for 3 weeks and have stayed at 6 different air b and bs but this one was the best by far. I can assure you won’t regret staying here!!!

The host was incredible. She made everything so easy for us. She offered to book dinner and boating reservations and get us tips on how to best see the Cinque Terre region.

I had an excellent experience. From the very first day, I was warmly welcomed by Martha, who provided all the necessary information and made herself available for any questions or assistance I needed. Her hospitality truly made my stay memorable. The facilities were top, and everything was well-maintained and comfortable. I appreciated the cleanliness and the attention to detail throughout the Upper House. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Martha (host) met us at the apartment and gave us excellent advise for navigating the Cinque Terre towns. She supplied a video which assisted us in finding the apartment easily. Martha was very helpful and present onsite for any questions/guidance. There was daily room service, which was an unexpected surprise. Rooms were exceptionally clean, beds were very, very comfortable, lovely smelling toiletries, effective A/C in all bedrooms, and a stunning view of the town and sea. The fridge was even stocked with some goodies for us on arrival. There were numerous extra touches that puts this facility above the rest! Highly recommend!

My stay in Cinque Terre could not have been better, and that is all thanks to Martha at the Upper House. It was incredible, beyond what I had imagined! Martha goes the extra mile. Anything you need, she will take care of for you. When I arrived, I had nothing planned for the short two night stay in Cinque Terre. She helped me plan out every single detail, and booked everything for me. She is so knowledgeable about all of Cinque Terre, and she really knows the best spots to go for whatever you are looking to do. Hiking, where to eat, anything. Martha booked all of the restaurants for me, and everything. She even booked a private boat tour for me, even though my train was delayed, she was actually able to hold the boat tour for 30 min, just to wait for me! I think everyone in Riomaggiore knows Martha! Additionally, the apartment is beautiful and the price is MORE than reasonable. I would have payed double for the experience I had and Martha’s outstanding service!! If you plan on staying in Cinque Terre, The Upper House in Riomaggiore is where you want to be. You will not get any better accommodations or service than with Martha. Much better service than at any luxury hotel I’ve ever stayed at! I can’t say enough great things about Martha and the Upper House. Next time I come back to Cinque Terre, I know where I will be staying! There is no better service or experience that you will find.
