L’accueil d’Assunta et de Rudi. Ce n’est pas juste un endroit où dormir, c’est un lieu de vie. La cuisine d’Assunta est délicieuse, ne loupez pas le dîner concocté par ses soins. Mention spéciale aussi pour la randonnée de Rudi et la soirée pizza du vendredi soir ! Vous aurez la chance de déguster une des 300 variétés de plantes du jardin ! Le lieu en lui même est incroyable, une des plus belles vues de Toscane vous attend chaque soir. Un grand merci pour ces quelques jours de rêve.

Food was excellent and fun as we eat with the other guests.

We battled at times with the insects

It is a beautiful place in beautiful surroundings, quiet and very,very comfortable We enjoyed the tranquillity and the warm hospitality as well as the delicious food cooked by Asunta. I wish we stayed longer!

There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely hosts in a great location, does require a car but to get the most out of Tuscany you will need a car anyway. Was cooked a great dinner during our stay with vegetables from the gardens.

Assunta and Rudiger were very friendly amd helpful during our stay! The view is amazing, and Assunta's cooking is delicious (don't miss out on pizza night on Friday!). We liked that the property is on the slope of the mountain at around 700m, which made temeratures (end aug/begin sept) manageable at max 30 degrees (35 in the city).

Wifi connection is not great in all parts/rooms of the apartment (we were in #6), works perfect outside and in some corners of the apartment though so not a huge problem for us. Since you are in the middle of nature make sure to keep door closed when possible and check for insects at night (all windows have insect screens which is great).

What we loved! - Assunta & Rudiger are truly wonderful hosts and they make you feel so welcome. They are very responsive and informative too. - Assunta’s cooking is out of this world :-) For people with celiac: she can adjust the dishes to make them gluten free. - The scenery is just fabulous, the place offers stunning views over the Tuscan hills, with in the far far distance the skyline of Siena - The magnificent pool - The three bedroom apartment that we booked was very spacious and well equipped

What we liked somewhat less - The place is really far away from basically everything (count on 30 min by car). Assunta does inform guests in advance about the remoteness though, so we were warned :-) Still we would have liked to be closer to a supermarket or villages with something to see/do - Even though the location is set on a hill - which means somewhat lower temperatures and here and there a breeze - it still got really hot inside the apartment. A fan would have been welcome - Curtains are very thin so be prepared for an early wake-up in summer time (when it’s colder, one would probably close the exterior window shutters but in summer any form of breeze is probably welcome ;-))
