"Good value for money."

7.0

The staff and entertainment team where great. Credit to the hotel.

The rooms where very dated and needed a good luck of paint. Bed was a little hard. Pillows needed updating. The windows needed cleaning. The breakfast buffet was lovely except the sausages where not of a good quality. I would of marked 8/10 if they provided a decent sausage none of these bags of deep friend sausage full of rubbish. Check out time 10am. A bit to early, 11am is more suitable. Its a bit rushed having to get up.early for breakfast 7:30am to 9am I stayed at The Grand many years ago and it has improved since my last stay.

"ok for a short break base .. as long as you dont have high expectations"

5.0

large room, plenty of tea /coffee etc, ..hairdryer in room, lots of storage.. huge bathroom very clean .. nice deep bath and plenty of hot water , nice to watch the goats on the rock opp .. staff helful and friendly, esp the lady on reception and br man .. wonderful views from the large dinning room windows.. a fair base to explore the area.. a cheap break away, in a great postion next to the sea, great veiws. next door to the peir so great to people watch from the bar balcony, and you can here the music .. and the sea

very dated which is ok, but very neglected, public toilets downstairs very dirty and no loo roll, bar doesnt open until 2pm, and shuts at 7.30pm and you have to go downstairs to the enetrtainment room, for a drink, which i thought was a shame as lovely views from the bar , so i didnt bother .. dinner which is £15 for 3 courses , hot food not too warm, is from 5-7 pm which is far too early for me esp when wanting to be out in the sunshine .. breakfast 7.30-9 am, at £12 for as much as you want, was pretty good, again not too warm, make sure you check your plate many still wet and some still dirty, all were cold .. one thing i thought was funny the full size kettle doesnt fit under the tap in the sink, so had to fill a cup to fill the kettle, that made me laugh .. on street paid for parking during the day 10am-4 pm, hard to find a space, blue badge holders are free all day.
