Good location

Very dated and not looked after

The hotel is very dated! The hotel room was like a prison, brown wood chip walls, ceiling had damp. No pictures! It really was the most depressing room i've ever stayed in. The smell when we first went in there was horrible! reported to reception, they said they would send someone up to have a look! this never happened. General cleanliness was poor... I was woken at 6am to shouting and swearing from a guest !!! Only positive was the entertainment team, they were friendly and wanted to make you have a good time. I paid £184 which was £65 for the first night and £119 for the second. I think £65 is about fair for the standard of the hotel, i wouldn't stay here again !

I know it’s corny but I love this place. Been going for years and it’s getting better and better. I was upgraded to a premier room which looked freshly painted. New shiny bathroom too. The bedding was pristine and there were new armchairs. My room also had a fridge and coffee machine. And the staff are always so friendly and keen to help. It’s such a bargain. I can’t wait to go back

Honestly nothing. It’s gradually recovering its elegance and feels really cared for now.

The Grand Hotel is a lovely Hotel, the staff were friendly and the entertainment on the evening was really good. The location is fantastic, its literally on the beach, a 10 minute walk to the shops and the pier is right outside. In the room there was a fan and iron which came in very handy and a kettle with well stocked tea, coffee, sugar and milk and little biscuits.

The rooms are a little out dated but you can kind of get over that. The balcony doors were painted shut so we couldnt open the doors. The beds were a little uncomfortable but for 2 nights they were okay. The water in the bathroom was so hot, if you have children id say assist them with hand washing. These are only little things but when you spend over £100 per night you expect a little better. I suppose its location your paying for rather than the actual hotel. But location was fantastic.
