Majacho`s House

The jungle experience was amazing. It was a bit of a shock when we first arrived how basic everything was and how many bugs were flying around including bats frogs and spiders but we soon adjusted. The food served to us was delicious and healthy. The family were very accommodating.The tours organised there were great and such reasonable price. If you want a real jungle/ amazon feel this is the place to go.

Cold shower.

This is a small family-run business where everyone is incredibly warm and welcoming, always making an effort to ensure guests have a great stay. The tours with Rafa were excellent, and he also helped organize other tours for us even when he wasn’t guiding them himself. The food was delicious and varied, although the side dishes were often the same. We also appreciated that we could refill our water bottles for free at any time. The accommodation is surrounded by nature right by the river, which gave us a truly authentic Amazon experience.

there was no hot water, and the room could get quite warm. The mosquito nets are rather thick, but there is a very good and large fan in the room, which helps a lot.

Everything :) in particular the location as it is right on the river with a lovely view from our hut and dining area. Rafael and his family were extremely warm and welcoming and his tours exceeded expectations. He has a neighbour that hi brings on for english speakers who is lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. The cooking as well is delicious. Cant have asked for a better stay in the Amazon.

Rafa and his family offered exceptional hospitality, amazing tours and Carmens food and juices were world class. We loved our stay here and the dogs were an added bonus.

A few critters in the cabin but to be expected in the jungle.

Todo! El lugar es muy rústico y familiar, lo cual lo hace ideal para desconectar y vivir unos días con una experiencia completa. Es un negocio familiar y todos son muy lindos y amables. La comida que dan es espectacular! Además, la cercanía del río le da un toque especial.

La atención tanto de Rafa como de la señora Carmen fueron espectaculares. Rafa se esforzó en todo momento por que nos sintiéramos bien. Nos organizó varias excursiones y en una de ellas, le pedimos intentar ver kapibaras. Nos llevó en su lancha y hasta que no lo encontramos no paramos, aunque no asegura poder verlos, lo intenta hasta casi siempre conseguirlo. Por otro lado, a la señora Carmen le dijimos que no comíamos animales y nos preparó varias comidas super buenas, todo perfecto. Ha sido la mejor parte hasta ahora en las 2 semanas que llevamos en Perú. Muchas gracias!

Los mosquitos que hay en la selva.

Die liebevoll von der Familie geführte Unterkunft hat uns vollends gefallen. Da wir keine großen Ansprüche an die Unterkunft hatten, war die Ausstattung für uns völlig ausreichend. Die Bungalows liegen direkt am Wasser. Wir wurden sehr sehr herzlich behandelt und kamen uns schon als Teil der Familie vor. Die gemeinsamen Ausflüge waren auch für beide Seiten sehr erfüllend und lehrreich.

Beim Frühstück haben wir Obst leider etwas vermisst.

Los animalitos que nos visitaban como sapitos, pero son indefensos

Die Touren mit Rafa waren super. Er weiß wirklich viel über die Tiere dort und kann einem viel zeigen. Man sollte aber Spanisch können. Die Unterkunft ist auch super schön, inklusive Moskitonetz und vielen Ablagemöglichkeiten. Das Essen vor Ort war auch sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich aus dem Garten von Rafas Mutter.

Der sehr häufig laufende Fernseher bei der Familie hat mit seiner Lautstärke etwas das Urwald Feeling und die gewünschte Ruhe gestört. Am Wochenende hört man sehr laut die Disco Musik von Puerto Maldonado, obwohl es eigentlich recht weit weg ist.
