"Cant wait to go back"

The location was super. The flat was spacious, and had everything you needed in it. The walks around the Royal William are lovely , as are all the resturants and coffee shop. A lovely week end away.

The parking is tricky and leave no room for an error without getting a fine. I parked in the wrong number bay by mistake and they would hear anything of it, even though I was staying there.

"Excellent stay, we hope to be back."

Being welcomed by a friendly host who even gave us 2lt of Rodda's milk. The comfy, free sleepers. A kitchen well equipped. But more than anything else, the historic buildings with their solidity, proportions, beauty; the way they have been renovated trying to keep their bones intact and valued; the level of comfort with independent heating, thick stone walls and wooden floors reclaimed from ship decking. Cremyll Ferry to Mount Edgcumbe, nice restaurants, a cinema, and a a gym being only a few steps away.

A bit more dusting (floors, rugs, kitchen drawers). The tumble dryer had a broken screen hence it was unusable, but no big deal as there was a clothes horse.

"Amazing apartment and location"

The apartment was amazing and the little touches like slippers, tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc make all the difference when you're away and don't have to worry about buying or bringing them with you. Parking is also another bonus and was one of the reasons I picked this apartment.

The only small niggle was the lack of natural light which made it difficult to apply my makeup but like I said just a small niggle

Safe and secure for a solo traveller, in an interesting historical setting. The apartment was homely and well equipped. Plenty of good eateries onsite too should you not wish to cook!

"Exceptional"

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt im Clarence. Die Architekten haben sich selber übertroffen. Das Anwesen hat eine wahnsinnige Atmosphäre, modern in 200 Jahre altem Gemäuer. Unfassbar. Mehr als empfehlenswert.

"Second visit but hopefully not my last."

This is a fantastic apartment in a great location. It is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Very peaceful and relaxing, but still has a nice buzz to the yard. Very clean and well kept, could not fault a thing. The large allocated parking spot just outside was especially helpful as parking in the yard is sometimes difficult. Madeleine kept us well informed of everything we needed for an easy check in and Sarah was fantastic in helping us out when we were delayed. No wonder this property is always booked when I’m looking for somewhere on my regular visits to Plymouth. For a two bed roomy modern apartment of this standard with parking it is fantastic value.

"Excellent stay."

Lovely property. Very good condition.Two of the bathroom lights went out and they were fixed very quickly. The parking pass is a great addition and saves a lot of money.

"Die Unterkunft liegt in einer schönen Gegend direkt am Wasser und bot die passende Atmosphäre für einen rundum gelungene"

Unser Aufenthalt im August 2025 war rundum gelungen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem phänomenalen, etwa 200 Jahre alten Gebäude, das architektonisch beeindruckend und mit viel Verstand sowie Liebe zum Detail saniert wurde. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr schön aufgeteilt und versprüht – genau wie das gesamte Haus – einen ganz eigenen Charme. Die Lage ist kaum zu übertreffen: Direkt am Wasser, im alten Marineviertel gelegen. Die Gegend ist sehr sauber und unter der Woche angenehm ruhig, am Wochenende etwas lebhafter, aber nie störend. In fußläufiger Entfernung (1–2 Minuten) befinden sich Restaurants, eine kleine Brauerei, ein Bagel-Shop und vieles mehr. Ein kleiner Frühstücksshop mit urlaubsfreundlichen Preisen ist in etwa 6–7 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Für Selbstversorger sind ein Mini-Supermarkt sowie größere Märkte wie Aldi und Lidl mit dem Auto in ca. 3 Minuten erreichbar. Alles in allem waren wir als Familie mehr als zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die historischen Charme, eine tolle Lage und ein stimmiges Umfeld schätzen

Leider liegt die letzte Renovierung der Wohnung offenbar schon etwas zurück. Es wäre sicherlich sinnvoll, einmal für zwei Tage einen zuverlässigen Handwerker vorbeizuschicken, um kleinere Arbeiten zu erledigen – etwa das Erneuern einiger Silikonfugen, das Abdichten des Duschschlauchs oder auch einen frischen Anstrich an der einen oder anderen Stelle. Nichts Großes, aber solche Maßnahmen werten die Wohnung merklich auf. Auch bei der Reinigung wäre ein etwas kritischerer Blick empfehlenswert: Hinter den großen Türen haben sich doch einige Staubmäuse angesammelt. Am ersten Abend haben wir den Staubsauger repariert und dann selbst mal gründlich die Ecken gesäubert. Alles in allem Kleinigkeiten, aber genau solche Details machen langfristig einen Unterschied – gerade aus Eigentümersicht sollte man das nicht aus den Augen verlieren.
