Loved my stay here. Exactly what I was looking for on the island. Quiet and close to the beach. But you can also walk to MM or Nest if you want to drink or party. They offer scooter rental for 12.5$ / day or 10$/day if you rent at least 3 days. Need to be an experienced driver tho because the driveway isn’t still under construction and at the moment you need to drive through rocks, grass and mud. But I guess the driveway will be finished in a month or so. Chill music playing in the bar. Big bunk beds are very comfy and equipped with power plugs and reading lights. Staff very friendy and helpful. Thank you for having me :)

No hot water in the shower but it’s common on the island and didn’t bother me. It’s not freezing cold, don’t worry.

Dolla the nicest host I’ve met throughout my travels. Most spacious beds I’ve had in any hostel and by far the best sleep I’ve had in one. Really good and affordable food and a chilled atmosphere at the bar. Dogs were also really friendly there which was nice.

Power cut would make showers cold if that bothers you. Just make sure you charge electronics when you can/use a portable. Good amount of bugs but that’s an issue everywhere on the island from what I’ve heard

The location was great! 2 minutes walk to the most beautiful beach through a jungle path. There is a port where you can take money out (no ATMs on the island) and some yummy restaurants! If you walk the other way for about a 1km you can get to the other port town, which is the busier tourist side. There is Nest hostel very close, which is good for karaoke and Sunday lunch (Sundays) and have events on the other days of the week too. You can hire motorbikes to get around the island! And the staff there will do anything for you! The beds are spacious and there's storage too. There are also puppies and friendly dogs that greet you every morning! The shower facilities were large with separate toilets!

Whichever way you walk when you arrive (from the beach or the road), they are down a little path. It's pretty basic but it's cheap so what do you expect. They do turn the electricity (and air con) in the rooms from 12 noon to 4pm

The staff were amazingly helpful both the locals and the western volunteers, they were always happy to help us and perfectly layed back which made me feel like I was never being a burden when asking for something. The vibe here is top tier and I am sure the owner will turn it into his dream in no time. The food and drinks were really good and reasonably priced so the location of the hostel was definitely not too much of a pain

I think the showers/toilets could use a slight sprucing up but they did the job and were good enough but could have been a little nicer. The rooms could be a little more air tight to stop mosquitoes getting into the rooms free of will. And there could maybe be a way over the lagoon that Is a little more direct but not necessary!

It had aircon, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

It was very rustic - a little out of the way of the other hostels which was nice but it meant there was no breeze in the common areas so was extremely hot.
