Koh Rong Lagoon

Absolutely the best place to stay in Koh Rong for backpackers. Location is great just behind the lagoon, easy walk through the jungle to beach, pier and parties. Perfect base to experience everything the island has to offer and chill after a long day. People working there are the best and can help you with anything. Beds are nice and common area is lovely, food is good too. Dorms are quiet and good to sleep in if you dont want to be staying in the noisy party places. Its a short walk from Long Set pier if you take shortcut not visible on Google maps through beach and lagoon bridge.

The negative reviews are out of their minds and dont know what Koh Rong is about.

The location was perfect for us as the Hostel is not located on long set beach but very closed tho. It was very peaceful and you can join long set beach by a short walk in the nature ! The staff was very kind, we really enjoy meeting the two brothers who own the Hostel, it was a pleasure to discuss with them and thanks for their warm welcome.

I was satisfied with my stay in this place. Considering the offer on the islands, you can’t expect luxury. The room was basic but spacious with a private bathroom and clean towels. The common area was lovely, very relaxing and the staff, Marta and Volkan, were real sweethearts, making sure you feel welcome and doing it in a very natural way. It’s a place were you’ll meet new people and were you’ll be very close to a beautiful beach.

This hostel was amazing! Originally me and my boyfriend were only supposed to stay 2 nights but extended for 3 weeks. The owner Dolla was lovely and helped me so much when I had to go to the clinic 4 days in a row! Not only that, all the staff are lovely (marta and volkan) and we felt right at home. It’s about a 5 minute walk to nest which was perfect. All the dorm rooms were nice, big comfy beds with air con and the private rooms are very spacious with big and comfy beds too. The walk through the jungle to the beach and the restaurants was really nice. The food was lovely also, the chicken fried noodles were amazing. we will definitely be coming back!!!

The only slight negative was the 15-20 minute walk from the pier with all of your bags, but to be honest it wasn’t really that bad.

The owner Dollar was very friendly, helpful and makes the best meals. All of the staff were really nice and so were some of the other guests during my stay which contributed to the good vibes of the place. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's set away from the other party hostels, but close enough if you want to go party and within a short walk or everything else so the location was perfect for me! The beds are spacious with showers and toilets outside of the rooms, something I definitely preferred. Also, at the time of my stay the dorms at the very top didn't have curtains or WiFi. It didn't bother me too much as those rooms are fairly new and really clean but you might want to check this first ahead of your stay.

It’s in a beautiful setting and the price is reasonable. The location is only a few minutes away from the beach and to get there you walk on stunning jungle paths which I really enjoyed.

Staff asked me if I wanted to buy weed. Music was played all night from the club ”Nest” with such a force that the bed was vibrating, which prevents sleep..

Great hostel with really friendly staff and the location is amazing! You take a little path through the jungle to reach the lagoon which you cross over with a bridge and then you reach the most beautiful beach I’ve seen. The hostel has a nice vibe, it isn’t party but I found it easy to make friends. Also comfy beds and cute dogs

The owner Dola and his team treated me like family, everything is as described, close to the Nest festival without being too close to the sound. Perfect stay !
