La Isla Tropica

Rohan who runs the accommodation made our holiday he was amazing from the moment he picked us up from the jetty to when we left. He went far and beyond and organized all of our excursions and we had a truly amazing time because of him. The accommodation is clean and basic but we didn't want anything fancy because we wanted to experience a local island and not a resort.

The Stay was good but expected little more...however the staff of the hotel Name Rohan was absolutely great, he was so helpful...and about the breakfast & dinner- food was good, tasty and good quantity.

I wish they had more option for food to choose by guest instead of whatever they prefer to serve.

Absolute best part about this hotel is Rohan! If he was not here I would have given 3 stars. He had flowers on the bed when we arrived, brought some shells for my daughter as he noticed she was collecting them, picked us up and returned us a few days later on the ferry, and home cooks every breakfast! Rohan is the best. The room is simple but fine. We are a family of 4 and so there are three twin beds in the room. The shower has hot water and is clean. Rohan regularly cleaned the garbage and honestly would do anything we asked and made many great suggestions to help us enjoy the island. Update. Days after our stay Rohan checked in with us! He wished us a happy new year and made sure we were safe as we left in a storm.

Everything. Especially Rohan. His Hospitality, personality, knowledge, cooking skills, flower decoration and help with booking unforgettable trips ment everything for us. The bed was comfy, the guesthouse was quiet, which such lazy tourists like us, who needed a lot of napping through the day, really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay Rohan.

Nothing. Everything was as expected, no actually much better than expected.

The Hotel was near the beach, The guy serving the hotel from Srilanka was very nice and helpful, Food was tatsy

We took Halfboard option but the portions of food was very little and it was cheaper to get the room as Bed and Breakfast and get the dinner somewhere out of the hotel, the room and the hotel itself is very basic, the hotel overall is expensive in terms of food and level of accommodation it is providing

We loved the place. Rohan, the host, was the most welcoming person we've met. Made us feel right at home on this beautiful island.

It is a very good accommodation and in a very quite island! It is a must if you want to relax and they offer some excursion. Rohan and Ilham they are exceptional and they assist in every details and they are very helpful. I enjoyed my stay at La Isla Tropica 😊

As soon as we got off the boat, we felt very welcomed and comfortable. Our host Rohan was waiting for us with a big smile and ready to take us to our new home for the next few days. He kindly gave us a ride with our things. He then welcomed us with some refreshing cold towels and tasty juice. He really tried his best to make us feel at home. After we checked in, Rohan showed us around the island, which was great and gave us great tips about everything we needed to know. We felt so lucky to come across a lovely host especially after our other stays on other islands, this was definitely the best out of them all and we already know we will come back and stay for longer! The beach, shops and local restaurants are close, so the location is great. Rohan made breakfast every morning and was always very creative with what he served us (with such big portions!). We had beach towels in our room, also bottled water and of course air-conditioning. It's not a 5-star hotel, but the service is definitely right up there. The hotel is nice and clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. It's totally worth the money. If you haven't decided where to stay yet, then book this place, I highly recommend it!
