Great location, great views, very nice rooms, with big size

Would be great if there is a real coffee machine which serves espresso, cappuccino, etc. in the breakfast. Breakfast itself is very average.

New, clean and well located. The room size is good.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE Staying at New Minor Hotel in Khiva was, without exaggeration, the worst travel experience we’ve had in Uzbekistan — and possibly ever. This place is a complete disgrace to everything the country is known for. While Uzbekistan is famous for its warm hospitality, this hotel feels like it belongs in a different universe: cold, careless, and completely indifferent to guests. From the moment we arrived, there was no welcome, no smile, no sense that we were guests — just cold stares and shrugs. After being treated with genuine warmth in every other hotel throughout the country, this felt like a slap in the face. It left a bitter taste and truly tarnished our impression of Khiva. The room? Spacious but a disaster. The bathroom reeked of sewage and mildew. The plumbing looked like it hadn’t been maintained in a decade. The shower had barely any pressure, and the hot water came and went like a ghost — mostly gone. Taking a shower was a miserable, cold ordeal. And then there’s the breakfast, if you can even call it that. The food was dry, tasteless, and clearly days old. A couple of eggs, stale bread, and an insult to coffee — either cheap instant powder or poorly ground sludge that you’d expect at a gas station, not a hotel (see the photo). Absolutely shameful. But the ultimate humiliation? The power outage that lasted 3–4 hours in the evening. We were left in total darkness — no lights, no hot water, no way to charge devices, no way to use the bathroom properly. And the staff? Completely apathetic. No explanation, no apology, just “wait.” This is not a hotel — it’s a run-down shelter masquerading as a place of hospitality. No service, no standards, and no care. Avoid this place like the plague. Stay anywhere else. Sleep in your car. Camp in the desert. Just do not waste your time or money here. Staying at New Minor Hotel was not just disappointing — it was offensive.

The rooms are well presented and quality. The location is fabulous. The downside is rooms aren’t sufficiently soundproofed and many open right to reception so it can be loud.

I liked everything about the property. Clean, modern room & toilet. Comfortable/soft bed just how I like. Excellent breakfast spread. Otabek, who runs the front desk and manages the entire property including the restaurant was so nice & accommodating.

Everything was perfect,the staff is very helpful and listening. We were fasting during our stay and they managed to bring us food for our late meal. I recommend it

On arrival, I was given an upgrade to a room with a bath for no extra cost. The bed was soft and luxurious. The food was delicious, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and enjoy my stay. Perfect location in the middle of the old city, and a driver to whisk me to the outlying fortresses.

Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Small comfortable hotel in the middle of the old town, literally next door to all the points of interest. Modern design with a local touch. Cozy, but most importantly very clean room and bathroom.
