Kaoglen-Stags Suite-Hot tub-Cairngorms- Dog Friendly

We had a lovely view from the hot tub. The bar and food place was awesome and was so close to the lodge. We met an awesome guy called Trevor the groundsman what a guy thank you again.

The kitchen was tiny I didn’t expect that but I only used it a couple of times.

Stags is beautiful - the interior decor is so well thought out. The hot tub was perfect - clean and hot. The view from the patio area is so lovely, and we only ever saw someone pass once. The kitchen is well equipped, but remember it is self catering so bring salt/pepper/oil, anything you will need for cooking. The oven/grill/microwave combo is modern and works perfectly. There's a basic selection of crockery/cutlery/glassware but had all we needed. They also left kitchen cloths and washing up liquid for us which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and there are plenty of heaters in the lodge so we never got cold. The bathroom is beautiful and has a heated towel rail which was very handy for drying swimwear before the next dip in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend you book to eat at the onsite restaurant too. Staff were lovely and the food was great - huge portions! Overall a lovely stay and we will definitely return.

Needs more storage, even some cute antler hooks over the doors, or a coat stand. Somewhere for damp coats would be ideal, and would be useful to have drawers to unpack into. Netflix didn't work on the TV. Not a huge let down as we did find a film on Freeview, but doesn't make sense to have a smart TV if the apps don't work, maybe there was an issue with the WiFi whilst we were there. Would love to see better quality, local toiletries. They are more costly, but will improve the look and standard of the place

The jacuzzi was clean and well maintained, it was on its own private outside area which was very peaceful and easy to access and use, this was incredible in the evenings under the stars. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. The inside of the cabin could have used a dust in the corners, as there were spider webs, but everything else was clean and ready when we arrived. The parking is very close to the rooms so carrying any luggage is easy. The place is a gorgeous location and only 20 minutes from Pitlochry by car if you looking for more touristy things.

There were a few spider webs in the corner of the log cabin, but that was it.

Lovely big Cabin. Bed very comfortable. Such a lovely location. 😍 Staff very helpful and friendly. Saw deer within yards of the site two of the mornings, so magical. Would definitely go back.

Didn't have anywhere to hang wet jackets. Had to use doors. Outside area of Cabin isn't enclosed. I couldn't let my dogs roam as their recall is not 100%. Not an issue as such but it would have been nice to let them wander about outside the room and leave the patio door open.

Situated in a beautiful part of the country and the restaurant has undergone new management and they really know how to cook up a good meal
