Squirrel's Nest

We hadden de balkonkamer. Helemaal geweldig. Twee hele lieve zussen die het guesthouse runnen. Iedere ochtend een heerlijk gevarieerd ontbijt en ze helpen je overal mee. Ook met koffers sjouwen de trappen op. Kamer was ruim en licht. Heerlijk. Dankjulliewel. 🤗

Goede accommodatie in Kandy. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, lekker ontbijt, prachtig uitzicht, goede faciliteiten en goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Koelkast op kamer was erg fijn en goede wifi! De tuktukritjes van/naar de accommodatie waren met Pickme eenvoudig te boeken.

De badkamer en met name de douche konden wat schoner (wat achtergebleven haren in douche), verder was het wel schoon. Het ventilatiesysteem lekte wat water op de grond.

Love the scenery, love the host they were all great and loved the garden so much! It was so beautiful! Book the balcony because the view is so breath taking

The property is amazing you just have to be prepared to walk a bit upward to get to the actual location but that is not bad because tuk tuks are available everywhere! (And patience is required because of language barrier) but it is possible.

Nature in the city, great host hospitality.

Not a big deal but it is a quite steep access so plan for a tuktuk ride to get there (just 1$ from the downtown area).

Cute little Homestay at the hill with a very nice garden! The owner made us a very nice breakfast :) The room was clean and we slept really good. All in all, we would go there again!

I booked the Room upstairs, it is huge, in very good condition and you can make yourself coffee and Tea in the Room. You have warm water and get shampoo and shower gel for your stay. From the balkony you have a great view in the Mountains and also into the beautiful garden. At Night it is very calm! The breakfast was excellent! The two lovely women, who own it, gave me also fruits from their own garden for breakfast, for example some delicious Star fruits! While I was having breakfast, I could Watch the squirrels having breakfast too! Furthermore my hosts gave me some good advices where to go in the City. You Can reach it very good by Tuk Tuk. Thanks a Lot for the great days at your place in Kandy!

Our very first impression was that the location was too much out of the way, but it soon turned out that it was by far the best location, peaceful, quiet, with fresh air at night. With all the windows open (our room was on the top with a terrace) we didn't miss the air con. A great spot with a beautiful view out of the city's noise and chaos. The owners are very sweet ladies, and despite their weak English we could communicate about everything. It's easily reached by tuk tuk (10 min to town), also a car reaches it despite the steep and narrow road. Breakfast was very good, homemade and fresh from their garden. We could choose between traditional Sri Lankan and butter, jam, toast...with fruit and fruit juice, rotti, eggs... We also enjoyed hot shower and a spacious room.
