Romantic Cotswold Cottage- dog friendly and village location

Lovely village location and cosy interior with lots of very thoughtful touches.

Nothing to dislike.

Beauty dated cottage with high end finish. The cottage location was perfect for what we needed and for the dogs to be welcomed is great.

Damp (old building)

The cottage was so cute and characterful. The host had thought of everything, the little touches were really great and we felt well taken care of! It was wonderful. The property was so clean and fresh and warm on arrival 👌 Loved that the dogs were allowed everywhere but the bedroom. Loved the view out back and a few geese squeaks.

The mattress was new and comfortable but the bed was squeaky and there was a dip in the middle (possibly the old floor boards). Host was understanding and did provide a mattress topper to try to help.

Such a quaint house with so much character! Garden not attached to the house but it was secure which is great with a dog. Decent sized kitchen with everything you need and cosy living room. Lovely views out the back. The local pubs are also great. The food at The Kings Arms was incredible and we could go on walks from the doorstep. Victoria was also great with communication and access and parking details. The welcome hamper was appreciated with great local essentials!

A door or curtain would have been good on the stairs to the bedroom to stop dog wondering up and close it off when sitting in the living room to keep heat in however this was not a huge issue.

A gorgeous property with plenty of charm that's perfect for a couple. The rooms were cosy yet spacious with lots of luxury touches/finishes like high-quality hand wash and entertaining books. The star of the property was of course the log fire which we cosied up next to on both nights! Mickleton is a fabulous little Cotswolds village and we really recommend going to the King's Arms for dinner if you fancy treating yourself to the best steak in the world (in our opinion!). The property host Victoria was so welcoming and replied really quickly to all of our messages. She also provided us with a free bottle of wine for our anniversary!

The mattress was quite squeaky and the wooden floors/kitchen floors could have done with a better clean. We also weren't provided with any new logs for the fire so we had to buy some.

Lovely little cottage. Perfect for a relaxing weekend break. So many little extra touches like a welcome basket and logs for the fire.

It was all great. The staircase was super steep but Victoria had made that very clear in the details.

Good location for the places we wanted to visit. Private parking, even if it was a bit tight between a wall & a greenhouse. Handy for local shop & pubs.

Some oversights in kitchen cleanliness (used coffee pods and liquid in the canister of fresh pods; some cutlery & crockery not as clean as expected). Living room lighting not really good enough to read in the evening. Instructions for heating and wifi password, could have been clearer.
