Romantic Cotswold Cottage- dog friendly and village location

The cottage was absolutely beautiful: charmingly decorated and very thoughtfully appointed for both humans and dogs. We were really happy with everything provided, especially the little details like good soaps, a torch for navigating the stairs at night, cotton buds in the drawer... even a little blanket for our dog! I asked for some additional details for my husband's birthday, and a LOT of thought clearly went into this, as well as the basket of food essentials.

The stairs are NOT for the clumsy of foot or unsteady of balance, and the bed is very soft (and luxurious), which will delight or dismay in equal measure depending on the sleeper. We did find the sofa was more for perching than prolonged loafing, but who wants to stay indoors when the village is so pretty?!

Everything was divine, very tidy, clean, they even left us some treats such as milk, orange juice, bread and cookies, all from local producers, which I thought was a very nice detail. The cottage is very cozy, warm in winter, has all the amenities, the tub is super delicious for a nice relaxing and warm bath, even has bath salts, all super clean, lots of blankets, they have TV with all platforms, has books, board games, it's great for a romantic getaway, I highly recommend it and I am looking forward to returning. Very easy access, it is 5 minutes from the supermarket, many nice places to visit like Bath and the costwolds, the people who attended us were super friendly, they answer very fast and are very attentive, very grateful for these 2 wonderful nights.

Absolutely gorgeous house! Perfect for a couples weekend. Everything you could possibly need & more. Spotless, comfy beds, fully stocked up with appliances etc. Really friendly and helpful owner, Victoria really made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this place. It’s in a great location for visiting Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water.

Nothing I didn’t like.

We had a great 3 nights at this cottage we stay in this part of the country each year for your horse live event near Stratford but this was the 1st time staying in Mickleton which is a beautiful village with couple lovely pubs the cottage was great with 3 floors ground floor was brand new modern kitchen middle floor was living area and bathroom then onto 3rd floor for bedroom the cottage had lots of the original features which show the history of the property. Outside is a lovely enclosed little garden which would have been a nice place to relax if we had come in the summer months and the off street parking at rear is a bonus we have a large volvo and could park in the allocated area no problem. What made the stay extra special was the welcome pack from the owners inc the best tasting eggs I've had and instant lighting log packs which make using the log burner so easy. All in all this is a perfect base to explore the cotsolds and a credit to the owners

Our host was very communicative and accommodating - messages responded to very promptly. We were recommended local pubs and walks all of which were amazing. The cottage was perfect for a weekend break and in a great location with everything you need within walking distance.

Appreciate Welcome gift and dog treats are provided good - thankyou We have been in the village few times is nice quiet place, go out various place also my family live there nearby.

Unfortunately, Very disappointed there no full enclosed garden from the back door (the photo wasn’t show, they’re very good to hide you can’t see in the photo of back garden) and no space in garden for dog. As we didn’t know there no secure from back door access to garden for the dog, we can’t let the dog free and also there no fence next door at all, no high fence so the main road are very busy!! Parking at the back also so disappointed the greenhouse was dump next to parking look not nice for the cost accommodation disagree as risk what if strong wind the greenhouse might knock down on the car due damage and they says can parking on the road side of the property not good idea we have see the road too busy & speed up supposed 30mph limits. To be honest, not good ideal for deaf people or the dogs We more concerned for the dog - steep the stairs to can be slippery, not put our free mind for the reason! Sorry, we won’t come here this cottage again. We used stayed another cottage which is lovely and safe for the dog and good parking as safe.

This was a really lovely place to stay and the host was so helpful from start to finish. The location is ideal for lots of different walks. Would definitely recommend this to others though the stairs are a bit difficult if you aren't 100% steady on your feet (we thought this added to the charm of the place though)

Everything was perfect, the property was amazingly well stocked with everything you need and a real home from home. We had such a relaxing week. And the hosts and amazing and friendly thank you. Can totally recommend the butchers arms for there home cooked pies and the butcher across the road had the best meat we have ever tasted.
