The only negative if there has to be one is the size of the parking space

"An idyllic getaway from New York City with buckets of charm."

10.0

I loved my stay at The Terrace! Victoria is “the hostess with the mostest,” providing excellent communication and accommodating your needs. (I’d requested lactose-free milk -- and there it was in the fridge!) Not to mention a goodies basket filled with bread, cookies, cereal, etc. She gave wonderful suggestions of where to go and what to see and do. Stratford-Upon-Avon wasn’t on my agenda but after her suggestion, it wound up being one of the highlights of my trip. The butcher shop and grocery store are a stone’s throw away from the cottage. (She’d suggested the sausages -- and of course they were yummy.) Mickleton itself has LOADS of charm. The village church, the red phone box, and friendly people. I had a Sunday roast at The King’s Arms, which was scrumptious. Hidcotes Manor Garden is completely worth the 5-mile hike through heavenly vistas and sheep, sheep, sheep. It’s really a little slice of heaven not to be missed. The little cottage itself oozes charm from the beamed ceilings to the wood burning fireplace. The spiral wooden stairs of the cottage going up three flights are very cool looking but you do have to be careful. The first-floor kitchen has every appliance you need. There’s an induction stove, which took some self-educating but worked out just fine. The second floor houses the living room and bathroom. Hot water at the ready. TV & WiFi reception get a big thumbs up! The third floor bedroom has a VERY comfy bed, a desk, plenty of closet space and charming views. Look to the right to see your private little garden and just beyond it is a sweet little horse neighbor. Next door, a woman feeds her white fluffy geese every morning; and from the opposite window you can see tiny sheep in a distant field. Highly recommended!

Transportation from Mickleton to other locations can be challenging especially on a Sunday if you don't have a car. Taxi services are prompt & reliable but can get a bit pricey.

"The perfect charming stay for your Cotswolds Holidays"

10.0

The cottage was absolutely lovely! A pretty kitchen stocked with some goodies for breakfast, a cozy living room, and the sweetest bedroom, all spread over three charming floors. It also comes with a small but delightful garden, which we really enjoyed using for breakfast and even a couple of dinners. What truly made our stay extra special, though, was the care Victoria puts into making her guests feel at home. I’m intolerant to both gluten and lactose, and she thoughtfully bought gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk for us. such a kind gesture. I’d also love to highlight the amazing book you’ll find on the kitchen table: I’ve never seen one so complete and useful, full of everything you might need to know.

The only two potential downsides are the small parking space, which might not fit very large cars, and the stairs, which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues..

Charming cottage with excellent level of equipment and thoughtful provision of all essentials. Very comfortable bed. Dog welcoming and lovely country walks start within about 100m. Charming village with superb dog friendly pub on the same road about 500m away.

As warned, staircase can be challenging.

Lovely very petty and a lovely welcome pack, which is too nice so we just left it all there for someone else to enjoy. And a great pub good food .

The neighbours were very noisy we know it’s nice to sit in the garden like we do at home but we don’t what to hear them all night when you sit in such a pretty little kitchen.

"Gran casita"

7.0
