"Nice relaxing time and beautiful sunshine so we enjoyed ourselves"

9.0

The location was great. Easy walk to a pub that served food which was most welcome

There was someone sleeping in an outbuilding directly opposite the kitchen door. That was a surprise. The stairs were VERY steep and awkward when carrying a case. I know this cannot be helped with the age of the property but I was worried not just for us but our dog too. That said the cottage was very well equipped and the welcome hamper along with milk and fruit juice was a lovely treat. Thank you

"Beautiful home away from home!"

The property really felt like a home away from home. It was a beautiful house and has really great owners that were helpful. I'd definitely recommend this property to others!

"Great, spotlessly clean property in a perfect location for visiting Hidcote"

8.0

The location could not have been better for what we wanted to do, which was to visit Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens. Comms were excellent, and our host Victoria went above and beyond to be helpful, providing wholemeal bread on request (and skipping the biscuits / cakes as my husband is diabetic), and giving us some good local advice. It was spotlessly clean, and we liked lots of things about it - e.g. the toiletries supplied were particularly high quality, and the towels and bedclothes were great. The property was as we expected - we had been alerted to the stairs, which are absolutely fine as long as you take care and don't rush.

There were really only three downsides for us: the softness / sagginess of the mattress, which although comfortable enough if you kept still, because of a thick mattress topper, did not make for a restful night with two people in the bed, as we rolled together a la hammock and it was not supportive enough for our backs. Secondly the strict instructions that 'there is no dishwasher' - which was mystifying as there clearly *is* a dishwasher and dishwasher tablets were supplied, but which meant we didn't dare use the dishwasher in case it didn't work (we should actually have asked Victoria about this, as I suspect the house instructions are just out of date?). And finally but not a terrible thing, the fact the cottage is right on the main road does mean there's audible traffic noise at busy times if the windows are open, and we made rather direct eye contact with some passers-by a few times by accident, when glancing out the window :) Of these downsides, only the bed made a difference to our stay.

"Great little house in the cotswolds."

9.0

Great location for our needs. Property was clean and comfortable, with good amenities. Nice hamper on arrival. Great for dog owners. Particularly liked being able watch a dvd for a change.

Not something that could necessarily be changed and not quite an issue for us but bath and shower is very small. The stairs are very steep also.
