Black Ship Sapa

So far the best stay we had on our trip through Vietnam. The hotel is very cosy and stylish. The room was specious, beautifully designed and had a fantastic view over the valley. The staff is exceptionally nice and very obliging. Food and drinks are tasty and fresh.

The only downside is, that it is like 30min away from the city center and quite hard to reach. But it is totally worth it, because of the very beautiful nature. Also you can rent motorbikes to go to town.

Clean and nice looking room

Place is far out from sapa and expensive to get there with taxis. Nice place for couples but not great for solo travellers. Food at the restaurant was very basic.

The staff there were extremely friendly. A staff named Phuong. She is exceptionally helpful and always wears a smile on her face. She is commendable.

The location is very inconvenient. It is actually located 10+kms out of Sapa. It has the potential to be developed into a self sufficient resort hotel if there is improvements on catering and in-house activities.

Basically almost everything! Blackship is not at the centre of Sapa city so it's not really ideal in terms of location/transportation but the hurdle to the experience is so tiny as a water drop to the ocean. Honestly, IMO it's the real advantage the Blackship can offer: wonderful scenery view, cheap services and friendly staff. We were recommended to try the Red-Dao's herbal bath and it really turned up my feeling/mood after a tiring long trip. We ordered a BBQ combo set for our family with not much expectation because we know how it should be normally in this area and it turned out to be the best dinner we've ever had (at least with my recent memory). You can't imagine the feeling of enjoying that special dinner after relaxing with the herbal bath. I can't find any words to describe it (I'm sorry, you must try to feel it). I've got to know we can order special local cuisines but didn't have a chance to try it. We will definitely come back here again for that!

Not really, even with the not-so-perfect location, it can be easily resolved by a cheap taxi trip (~10min) from the city centre. The value you receive from here way more outweighs that little tiny thing.

The staff helped us in anyway possible. Was always there to help us where needed. The food was really great, so was the service. The room was extremely comfortable and good shower. We did a 1 day trekking with someone from the red Dao tribe and took the herbal bath. Because it was pretty cold outside this was even more relaxing. We had to leave at 6.30h the staff made sure we still had some breakfast for on the road, very helpfull.

We weren't there in the best time so it was very misty. But we still enjoyed our stay very much.

Enjoy with their fresh ingredients food, splendid landscape, warm and sincere attitude. Definitely rate more than 100%

As someone who likes to travel and visit many places, for me personally, the quality of rooms and services at Black Ship Sapa reaches 10/10 points. The room is airy and spacious. Impressive bar. Other services such as spa and massage are also worth experiencing.
