Owls Retreat, Meadowview House

Breakfast was good for my needs with their own hens eggs, fresh orange juice and bread with butter and jams, etc. Tea and coffee with milk. Location is excellent and the owners actual site whre they live is fantastic with the animals horses, george the swan ducks and dogs. The use of the dome in the middle of the lake/large pond is also a great facility

Nothing to dislike would stop again

Absolutely stunning location. The hosts were so welcoming and generous with their time. The accommodation is brilliant so much packed into the space without taking away its charm. What an absolute privilege. Thank you both for making my stay so relaxing. Kind of don't want to tell anyone so I can book again at anytime.

Having to leave and come home

Hi, Me and my partner both want to thank you for making our stay lovely and welcoming your retreat. We had a very wonderful time and the views in the morning and night was absolutely beautiful. From you greeting us , to the room having the refreshments and toiletries making our stay much more pleasant and comfortable. We really like the dome that was across the lake . We will definitely be coming back down there to stay. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

The retreat was easy to travel to and the views were stunning. If you want to relax in a friendly and warm atmosphere, enjoying the rural life, watching the wildlife and farm animals, then the owl retreat is a must visit. Dont miss out. The accommodation is everything you need. We will definitely return.

Nothing negative at all to say

The hosts were extremely friendly and provided a detailed explanation of the facilities at the Owl’s Retreat and even recommended places that we could go and get food in the local area. It was a nice touch to have a fresh loaf of bread, a selection of jams, milk and orange juice already stocked for our stay. The Owls Retreat was quirky, clean and a relaxing getaway.

The only thing that could’ve been better would be the toilet, as when flushed it could become blocked with tissue. However, given where the retreat is located it is fair to say the set up would differ from a conventional home style toilet.
