Owls Retreat, Meadowview House

Beautiful stay hosted by a lovely couple. Plenty of animals to see; very friendly small dogs who we were happy to stroke and play with, beautiful horses hosts very friendly and happy to talk about the horses competitions and history of the farm all the work they have done on it to make it a breathtaking area. Plenty of space for parking, perfect distance from near towns so farm was very peaceful and quiet enjoyed breakfast outdoors completely silent just the sound of nature but close enough for us to drive into town for a dinner at orange tree bar and grill. Hut was fully equipped, comfortable and perfect balance between modern but full of character. Hosts very welcoming happy for us to explore the farm, the dome on the lake was stunning and beautifully lit at night time. Close to Trentham Gardens and the monkey forest which we really enjoyed, maps and brochures in the hut showing plenty to do :)

The owners were very friendly and everything you needed for a relaxing break away was provided with love and care

It was so cosy and Jan was so welcoming and lovely. It was very peaceful with beautiful views over the lake. It was also decorated for autumn which was so cute.

What a beautiful stay at Meadow view! Absolutely stunning property. We loved having takeaway pizza in the little dome and then cooking breakfast and playing games in the morning. The hut has everything you could need and more and hosts were more than accommodating and let us check in a bit earlier. Thank you again for a beautiful stay x

We have just had the most fabulous stay. The hut was cosy, warm and the lovely touches made it perfect. Quiet. Beautiful views and my partner loved the lake/fishing. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable.

I cannot think of a single thing not to like.

We loved absolutely everything! The hut had everything we needed. The outside space was an added bonus and was stunning. My partner enjoyed the fishing l, we will be back

No complaints from us

The hut was exceptionally well furnished with everything you would need in a tiny home. Fresh eggs, tea, coffee, milk, butter and bread were provided. The bed was super-comfy. The farm itself is beautiful. The weather was not so good so we didnt get a chance to look around.

There was nothing we did not like, and excellent place to stay.
