Owls Retreat, Meadowview House

Absolutely everything, from Jans little personal quirks in the chalet to the pod, to the Ian being so friendly and ferrying us there and back to the Italian.

There was nothing not to like!

It was in an amazing place , so peaceful. Very clean.

Perfect stay from start to finish. The accommodation had everything we needed and was absolutely immaculate. The owners were lovely and went above and beyond, even giving us a lift to and from the local pub. We couldn’t have asked for more and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

This is our second visit! The hut is cosy and in a beautiful setting. It has everything you would need. Ian and Jan are fabulous hosts, if you are looking for peace, quiet and somewhere scenic then I would definitely recommend, the bonus is the lake!

A Lovely stay overnight at Owls retreat, the shepherds hut was fully equipped for a comfortable stay, fresh towels and bedding, a lovely hot shower, a comfy warm bed, including a welcome pack which made for a filling breakfast,with fresh eggs, in a very beautiful setting, made for an excellent stay, thankyou very much jon and tracey 😊 x

Everything was to perfection, from the minute we arrived to when we left we felt completely welcomed both by Jan & Ian, the surroundings are gorgeous and views are breath taking, the hut was spacious warm, the bed is soooo comfy, and very clean to a high standard, aslo fresh milk orange juice tea coffee suger, jam and a little choc treat which was tiny eggs but means a lot,and where gorgeous 😊 Jan & Ian are warm welcoming and an absolute lovely brilliant couple ❤️we had the pleasure to sit with them both and have a chat and cup of tea, in the hit Garden with there beautiful pets an chickens (we loved) the best stay away from home I've ever had, 10000% we will definitely be back, kerry & Andy 2026 28th Feb ❤️
