Epsom Red House

Upon arrival we meet with the host who were lovely kind people, the house was much larger then I had expected, every room having a cozy own character. The place was perfect for my friends and I to stay at while we went to concerts, on the website the site showed there would be no wifi, once we arrived the host gave the password for it, which was a huge bonus. The small town was a road down from the house where we were able to get bus cards for transport. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone aswell as come back to the property if I ever need to stay in Auckland again. Loved it!

We had a small car, on the drive way there was a small pointy hill that scraped the bottom of our car as well as anyone who drove in, it only happens once till some people that live behind the house removed the bricks, besides that the place was great, we offered to put them back but the host was happy to do so.

I loved the space of the house. I had to take my babies to Auckland with us, and they enjoyed spreading out a bit. Directions were easy to follow. The Washing/Dryer was a great addition. Would highly recommend this accom.

Very roomy, comfortable beds and sofas. Great communication from hosts. Handy location.

Just off a main road so a lot of road noise. A couple of things needed repairing (shower drain cover broken and lamp bulbs not working) but otherwise facilities good

Comfortable home for our large family , will stay again

No outside area for the children to play, but they were happy inside the home with the internet so it didn’t really matter

Spacious for 8 people

Missing drain plug in shower, very old and run down. No teatowels to dry dishes,no hand towel or enough towels, fold out bed was just a single recliner so there was no 5th bed.

Absolutely Nothing!

Novel ahead! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Husband and I traveled separately, Him arriving before I to a key under the doorstep. Leaving an hour later he placed the key back, awaiting myself and kids arrival. Whilst he was there the 'favourable' character living in the back of the house/garage snooped around a bit and gave off a weird vibe. Husband left, 1 hour later I arrived to the front door open, large flat screen T.V. had gone, husband belongings gone through with some items stolen also. I immediately called Police to file a report, then call the owner who showed up not long after. To his credit he refunded us straight away, so we could get the heck out of there. The house itself was okay, we knew what we had booked, it's not flash, but big and spacious. However it was not stated that there were other 'neighbours' basically living in the house attached. This is apparently not the first time the house had been broken into, and there was evidence of that with replaced door jams etc. Whilst I'm sure if the drama had not happened, it would have been an okay cheep stay, I am absolutely delighted that we got out of there almost as quickly as we arrived.
