"Beautiful little hideaway"

The cottage had everything you could need. Had a lovely little welcome gift of wine and chocolate with a note from the host. The cottage was very clean. Ideally situated for the wedding we were attending.

Cosy and characterful. In keeping with traditional buildings in wirksworth. Useful store cupboard things left in kitchen and bathroom for our use, thank you, very helpful. Denyse is a most helpful and kind host!

"Quaint place to stay warm and welcoming highly recommend to any friends. Similar to what I live in."

8.0

Pre-arrival good communication even though booked near to stay. Easy to find and the host Denyze was so helpful and approachable made a fab host and history of the place was interesting. The accommodation had character and I loved the way it had been decked out inside. I didn't use the open fire but could have as I have one at home but we had central heating we could use in the evenings if needed. A very comfy bed we found and the spare room looked good. Bathroom and kitchen were really good, we enjoyed sitting at the table for our meal. Parking was interesting as at home I;m on the edge of the Fens which is flat, but I managed the neighbours were pleasant and I had no issues parking on an incline. We didn't sit in the front but could have. Shame no back garden but all the same we would stay here again or recommend friends to, so much to do in the area, cable cars, caves stately homes, Tram museum, Bakewell and Bakewells Tarts with a lovely steam nearby, and the bridge of locks, nearby lake which was nice to walk round. Lovely 300 year old cottage in a lovely quaint town in the middle of an area with loads to visit for a week.

I struggled to find the keysafe on arrival and it was hard in the rain to open up had to take pic on phone to see the numbers as in an awkward place with it next to the storage box near to the ground but suppose its hidden somewhat from the view of people walking along the street. Overkill on fragranced bedding or towels a little hard being an asthma sufferer and sensitive to strong cleaning products, but that's only a personal preference, my friends didnt mind it or notice it. Sorry
