City House New Orleans Samesun

Arrived on the day of my reservation, and was informed by a staff member that the hostel was closed for repairs/maintenance. There was no communication from the hostel of any kind, not even a sign on the door, and still no response to my email. Luckily, a nearby hostel was able to house three of us on short notice on a Saturday evening... If not for that, my party would have been a right spot for our New Orleans vacation.

This property smells like sewer..: and I it was kinda f shady!! Also no breakfast was provided but it was promoted in the description … they also closed to go out of business while still having guests booked ..: they woke everyone one up and told them to leave

Pool table, table soccer, huge couch with Netflix etc. Super close to the french quarters and great location in general. For that price is it an absolute steal.

I just disliked that I didn't stay for longer :)

There were plenty of bathrooms and showers. It was quiet inside and outside. It was pretty clean. Especially during the day. The staff was very friendly. The bus stop to the airport is close and $1.25.

The refrigerator was packed to the max. They should probably get about 2 more and split them between the rooms. There shouldn't be carpet with this much traffic.

Location, Netflix, and they had comforters which is generally rare for hostels.

No paper towels in the bathroom most days Moldy showers and shower curtains Most of the soap dispensers in the showers were empty as well Bathroom sinks had dish soap instead of dish soap in them Lower bunks were very low - whenever you sit on one, you’d hit your head. Never seen such low bunks anywhere in the world No shelves of any sort by the bunks, no hooks - nowhere to put a water bottle, hang a jacket or a towel Rude, unfriendly staff, especially Mason Free breakfast is a huge lie No luggage drop off for guests who arrive early. HI across the street does it like a normal hostel by the way No windows in the rooms, sometimes it would be hard to breathe through different smells in the room
