Great location, very nice room, bar with spectacular view

The only drawback are all the stairs required to get up to the third level restaurant. From there, there was an elevator to our room. Very elderly may have trouble with all the stairs

The pool is heated and nice. The rooftop bar has a great view. The location is convenient

The room is dark. The faucets in the bathroom splashed everywhere. We have asked the front desk to fix it but it was never fixed.

The morning light coming through the bathroom area that was open and not seperate. Light woke us up early

The location. Nice boutique hotel. Bakery was good. The master suite room was big and had a big balcony.

Many steps.

The location is perfect, very close (2-5 minute walk) to the university, Plaza La Paz, and the Diego Rivera Museum (which is lousy). Only a little further (5-10 minute walk) to Jardin Union, Teatro Juarez, the funicular up to the Pipila monument, and the Don Quiote / Cervantes museum (which is excellent). Walking the other way, only 5-8 minutes to Mercado Hidalgo and Kissing Alley. Lots of nearby restaurants. The room (#2) was huge with 15-20 foot tall ceilings, like a palace. The lobby contains a small cafe for coffee and pastries. They have their own bakery, which is so good that the surrounding cafes buy their baked goods there for resale. The rooftop bar has spectacular views of the colorful houses across the way, especially at sunset.

As stated, the room (#2) was nice and large, but it was right next to the restaurant and adjacent storage and staff break area. So it was noisy, with staff speaking loudly outside our room while working or while on breaks. And the restaurant played very loud music until 10pm or later. Our bathroom was beautiful, but it took 10-15 minutes to get hot water in the shower. One time it took so long we had to call the front desk to resolve the problem. Don't eat in the restaurant. We had a very disappointing meal for our large group. At lunch we were warned there was an accident in the kitchen, so our food would take longer than usual to prepare. I said we had a group of 14 coming for dinner, and got assurances that they would be able to handle our situation. At dinner, the service and food were really bad. It look 90 minutes to get served, with some people in our party getting served cold or mediocre meals, and some never getting their food at all and just gave up.

The hotel is beautiful and nestled perfectly in the historic center of the city.

I wish the restaurant offered more plant-based meals.
