Excellent location, very nice staff, and spectacular reviews from the roof top

It took almost 5 minutes for the hot water to get to the shower, and the air conditioning never fully cooled the room. But we stayed with friends who said their hot water was fine and so is there AC. So it must have just been our room.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa del Rector. It's a beautiful hotel with lots of lovely details. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff provided us with complimentary champagne and chocolate for our honeymoon. Additionally, we loved the quiet/not very busy infinity pool + the rooftop bar (amazing views of the city/hillside). Not to mention there is a yummy bakery in the lobby and the restaurant is great too (had it for breakfast one morning).

A bit on the pricier side, but it's worth it.

Clean rooms and confortable

that I reserve for one bedroom 4 people and they said at the time I call that the hotel can add a bed for the 5th person. At the time I arrived, they requested me to pay extra for another room. Because the other room that fit the extra bed it was already occupied . I was with my mom 90 years old birthday and I don’t like this kind of surprises ., that’s why I called when I did the reservation.

The reception desk attendants rarely greeted guests coming and going because they were either playing on their cellphones or casually chatting with the doorman. On one occasion I entered the hotel with a wet umbrella from the rain, and I asked the receptionist if I should leave it at the front door or take it back to my room; she ignored me and so the guest entering behind me had to repeat my question. I guess I don't care because the rest of the staff always attended to any needs I had, but I feel bad for the restaurant, coffee shop, and rooftop bar which probably depends on a friendly person at the door promoting their business as well as that of the hotel itself. I would stay there again.

It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It's in an excellent location that is close to everything. We stayed in a suite with a beautiful terrace. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the salt water pool first thing in the morning. The fresh baked pasties are AMAZING!!

We only had breakfast once, and it wasn't memorable. The service was slow. The elevator didn't work often.

The hotel is fairly small. The room was comfortable and the hotel is well located. The staff was helpful, but only to a point.

The property is a nice local boutique hotel, it wasn't a luxury property. Though if you're coming to Guanajuato you probably aren't looking for luxury to be fair.

Everything! The food was amazing! The staff were all very friendly. The mini fridge was stocked with extra drinks. I would highly recommend this location. The view was amazing from the pool and bar upstairs. I loved our room with balcony and our visit could not have been a better experience!

Hard to find and to leave a car for parking can be challenging

Gorgeous building, luxurious furnishings, great location

We were given (an otherwise lovely) room with no windows, when the photo of the room shown on our booking had a window. When I asked if we could have a room with a window as shown on our booking, we were told we could upgrade to a suite at an extra cost. Most of the staff were polite, but one employee at the reception desk was curt. We also felt a little nickle-and-dimed when we requested more bottled drinking water on our second day (we had consumed the one bottle in the room on the first night) and were charged for it.
