The Nook RESORT

NOOK was a gorgeous getaway for those who want peace and quiet and a secluded spot to enjoy. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The bed was probably the most comfortable we’ve had in Sri Lanka and the attention to detail in the room was perfect. Another highlight was definitely the driver, Mr Banti, that the property set us in contact with. Highly recommended to use for any transportation needs.

Breakfast wasn’t included, which was unusual compared to the other places we stayed in.

Wooow. We are struggling to find the words to write this review. It is an incredible place to stay on the beautiful south of Sri Lanka. The pictures don’t do it justice. If you’re looking for a calmer place to stay away from the noisy crowds of tourists, The Nook Resort won’t disappoint. We loved how genuine and personable the staff were. They were so welcoming. The Nook is beautifully created, every small detail is well designed, you can feel how much passion the owners put into it, its so clean and comfortable. The restaurant has amazing food all day. Thank you to the owner of The Nook for being so lovely and guiding us to hidden gems and recommending beautiful places. Thank you to all staff for being so friendly and helpful with great service. We would recommend this place to anyone. Stunning!

100% yes. Beautiful property in a secluded neighbourhood, room was huge, comfortable and stylish. Gorgeous pool area. Nestled among the trees with wildlife spotting opportunities. All day restaurant was fantastic, offering fresh tasty food. Owner is so friendly and accomodating. Lots of love has been put into this place and it shows.

Probably the most beautiful resort I’ve ever stayed at. A real piece of art handmade piece by piece with a tremendous taste by the owner. An oasis of tranquility, luxury, beauty, peace which we really needed as Sri Lankan traffic and wild nature can be overwhelming at times when you drive around by yourself.

Sorry for being such an Italian stereotype, but I think the food menu could be improved in variety and options even with simpler dishes. I don’t think that few and elaborate is a winning combination sometimes it was hard to pick something and we’ve been only two days.

The Nook is a place to relax and come down. Loved everything about it. The bed was so comfortable. There is love in every detail. We were warmly welcomed by Matt, who explained us everything and recommended sports nearby. There is a wonderful small beach next to the Nook, only a minute walk away. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace with seaview for our morning work out. Food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We would definitely come back.

We really loved our stay; Matt and his wife have created a great atmosphere and the setting is really special. The sea view room was very tastefully designed and spacious, all the food and coffee was great, and the staff were brilliant. Matt particularly (we didn’t meet his wife as she was away) was hugely helpful with tips and advice. Thanks for a wonderful stay and introduction to Sri Lanka!

Very nice and modern place surrounded by great nature. Well designed with beautiful plants. Nice pool. Healthy food. Friendly people.

Small menu - good for 2 days maximum. Room service every 2 days. Humidity in this area kills towels...it is impossible to dry them. In my opinion towels should be changed every day, so it goes unfresh easily. Lack of experienced staff. It was difficult to solve any problem and get info.

The Nook Resort was exceeding expectations and was a fantastic place to stay. The design, the amenities and the concept of the hotel are so well thought through. An absolute relaxing place with a great restaurant and fantastic food. The owner Matt is super supportive for all questions and also the rest of the staff is very friendly.
