The Nook RESORT

Definitely the prettiest and cleanest hotel we have been in Sri Lanka so far. Nice food in the restaurant and cafe. Staff is very kind and helpful.

The location is a bit abroad from touristical areas, but the owner is always happy to arrange transport for reasonable prices.

Newly modern and trendy hotel managed by a nice Aussie couple. The design and the furnitures are really nicely selected. Bed is really confortable. Staff was very careful and provided information and a nice introduction.

A few items added to the room could make the stay perfect: glasses for water, tissue and boiler with complimentary tea. However we understand the hotel is trying to reduce the carbon footprint and this could explain why. Breakfast is good but a bit overpriced for the area. Bear in mind to have a driver or to book a Tuktuk to drive you to the beaches.

Beautiful hotel. Everything really considered. Warm and welcoming hosts. The food was some of the best we had during our trip, really amazing. Would love to return!!!

The Nook is built with a lot of emphasis on detail, amazing design, beautiful rooms, the garden is heaven, great pool, gorgeous little bay nearby, amazing food, wonderful staff, the list goes on..

The nook is in an absolutely beautiful unspoilt location. Nestled next to secluded beaches in an area that is so peaceful and very authentic Sri Lanka. Not far from surf and tourist restaurants you have the option to head in around the hustle and bustle. Matt the owner recommended a lovely restaurant and hooked us up with a surf coach for the afternoon. We wandered down to Dondra lighthouse the most southernly point of the island which recently renovated. Local children were playing on the beaches and there are a couple of nice little juice bars just on the beach. The Nooks cafe serves delicious local food and drinks we ate here at least once a day and took beers down to the beach to watch the sunset. I would highly recommend this stay and the area itself if you want an authentic Sri Lanka experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Nook as part of our Honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka. We loved the very welcoming staff, the relaxing and tranquil atmosphere and the location near so many amazing beaches.

It’s just a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the jungle, the staff and food were incredible and it looks just like the photos. Every little detail was so carefully thought out and all the finishes were perfect. We loved the curd & co for our breakfast, the passion fruit soda (yum!), the Sri Lankan curry and the wine choice! The room was stunning, a massive comfy bed with duvet, a tv with Netflix, a stunning balcony with views of the pool and the jungle around you. The bathroom was gorgeous too, you can see the jungle as you showered! We stayed in one of the seaview suites. Just a really lovely, honest, chilled vibe, probably the most beautify please we have ever stayed, we miss it already!

The bed was quite small, I'm only 5"10 and my feet hung off the end The bathroom had windows out to a garden which had no blinds or curtains on them so privacy was a slight concern

Loved the decor and Cafe at the nook. They made a huge effort to ensure we were comfortable and it was very clean. It wasn't at all a negative but there are not a lot of sun beds so we had put our chairs onto the grass. I think more would not fit in the space. Decent travel is required to reach other restaurants but the staff made this soo easy and even helped us get scooters as we liked to zip about. Laundry was done through the hotel and was pristine. They were full but other then the sunbeds it was very easy to keep to yourselves. The power tripped a bit but this just highlighted further how amazing the staff were at keeping us informed and making sure we were asked before coming into our rooms. Great staff!
