The Nook RESORT

This place gives a new definition of the term „gem“. Matt and Ale have created a truly beautiful and vitalizing place, where they have mastered the love to details to the max! We have never stayed in a place like this, where every detail is so well considered. You can really feel the love and passion with which the owners built and run this place. Everyone who works there is so nice and we could rent a scooter (which was organized in one minute) and keep it for three days. The food is another absolute highlight. So incredible tasty and our dinner and breakfast there were another highlight with The Nook. We are really thankful that we found this place and are really sad to leave it. (by the way: I don’t know why anyone would give less than 5 stars here - doesn’t make sense)

Large, comfortable room with an excellent finish

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. To others this may have been a feature not a bug.

Outstanding stylish design and very attentive service

The resort was a beautiful experience. Secluded location next to stunning cove and surrounded by lush jungle. The rooms were excellent, the ocean view room was particularly special. Everything was clean, excellently maintained and we didn't want for anything during our stay. The cafe had exceptional food and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating of anything we needed. Matt also had fantastic recommendations for sights to visit and local restaurants, catering to local Sri Lankan cuisine and western menus. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we have already recommended to mates thinking of visiting Sri Lanka.

What not to love about this hidden lush green gem? Came here a weekend to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a beautiful place to just relax and listen to all the birds and monkey’s hopping around, especially on the rooftop 😊. The rooms are amazing just like the food and staff. I will be coming back for sure!

It was a beautifully styled resort, really tastefully done. The owner, his family and staff were incredibly helpful.

There was one menu, quite limited in our opinion, available until approx 2 pm. After that no food. It's in a very isolated location so not so much as a snack available until you head out to dinner. The menu was almost entirely vegetarian, but not Sri Lankan. A kettle for tea/coffee in the rooms would have helped.
