Henry's Cottage

The location of Henry’s cottage is perfect, nice and quiet with access to the village pubs, shops and some of the best hicking and walking routes in the area.

This cottage was amazing, the love and thought that has gone into the build and the finishing of it is top notch, everything seems quality, the bed was so comfy, plenty of handing space for clothes, the bathroom has everything you need including, liquid soaps and shower gels all look and smell top quality, the shower was excellent with plenty of power on the water and the standard two shower heads ( well standard in top quality places) the only thing I would say is missing would be some kind of handle in the shower, we where fine but anyone older or unsteady on their feet in the shower might be grateful of something to hold onto, the kitchen area was well appointed and well equipped, we didn't make full use of all the amenities as when I go away I have one rule I don't cook, we made use of the lovely wharf cafe for breakfast and the Red lion pub in the village literally a 5 minute walk, but if you do like to cook your own meals then there is everything you need, the milk and eggs left by the owner again a lovely touch, the living room area again has everything you would need table and chairs if you prefer to eat at a table, a TV with all the apps including BBC I player, ITV X, although I believe it said it had Freeview but we couldn't get this to work but wasn't an issue as we where mostly out anyway, also there are only two chairs for relaxing in the evening, I personally would prefer more of a couch, something that you can relax on, unfortunately not able to do this on these chairs, the under floor heating is amazing, means walking round on the stone floor bare foot isn't an issues as the floor is lovely and warm, and this keeps the cottage just the right temperature, and finally the owners Ian and Alice where lovely, all in all we wood be back and would recommend

There was nothing not to like, although as already mentioned a few additions like couch instead of two chairs and a rail in the shower

Beautiful location in Burnsall, lovely river and countryside. Very comfortable and exceptionally clean cottage, great stay for sure.

A cosy,clean and comfortable cottage with everything you need. Beautiful area only a five minute walk along the river into the village. Will definitely return.

Not staying longer.

It was like a home from home. Every detail had been thought about to make it feel really comfortable and have everything needed to cook, rest, sleep deeply and have a really good break. The farm was welcoming and friendly. The location was fantastic with excellent parking. he view from the back and front was such a great example of what makes the Dales so beautiful. You could walk along the river, go for a paddle or have a pint all with a few minutes walk from the cottage.
