The Roman Hotel

The hotel was very shabby the room uncomfortable the bed mattress bad you could feel every spring into it and had a strong odour

unfortunately the cleanliness and quality of the rooms is unacceptable. everything was sticky and very dirty. the condition of things was the worst. a hotel with great potential for renovation and big changes.

The bedding was filthy and towels smelled of wee it’s the most shocking place I’ve ever stayed nothing like the picture on booking.com took my daughter and friend and son to see the lights and for two pins if we hadn’t drove 3 hours we would of drove home shocking stay and we couldn’t wait to leave

Price point was amazing. Right Infront of the tram station. Brilliant staff

The room was tiny run down dirty needs updating wasn't big enough for a family room was a single cube wardrobe but can't hang clothes as kettle is in wardrobe and no other table or unit in room

This hotel needs to be shut down owner told me they only clean every two months i found blood stains hiv treatment medicines fleas damp windows would not shut and there was that much dust build up look like ot not be cleaned in years also that was our up graded room as first was so bad it was unusable towel had not been cleaned in first room and second room they at to go to Tesco to buy two new one bed was very dirty one and need replacing bedding had not been cleaned in years stay well clear of this place if you value your health i have photos and videos to prove what I am saying this is by far the worst hotel I stayed in in the last 40 years a barn in a farmers field would be cleaner than this place they did not clean the place even thou someone suffering with HIV had been staying there i went up town and bought disinfectant and sleeping bags as I could not afford to move and was book in to a four day festival to celebrate a friend's birthday if it was not for that I would of come straight back home

The fact that out first room was unlivable and look like it had not been cleaned in years also there was evidence for drug use that had been left over in one of the drawers our suppose to be upgraded room had Hiv treatment meds left on top of a wardrobe and blood stains and the bed post also had fleas and load of damp I have photo videos and even a recording of the owner telling me the room get cleaned every two month when I went to complain our room was on first floor number 5 then moved to room 4 owner did not clean our rooms even when I complain never seen or heard a hover all the time I was there where we see the fleas that was the last staw and we packed up and left with a full day and night to go on our stay

The staff were very jolly

As it is a BnB that should be in with price or atleast a cheaper price as could go to a premier for breakfast or anywhere tbh for alot less

Mould in room no curtains was freezing had to sleep in clothes n coats 1st night really need updating the whole place needs a revamp

Location was good tram near by to get into town Lovely staff , good parking outside hotel free also
