Owner Very Helpful And Cool Man

We arrived just as my two year old developed severe gastroenteritis after eating some food at Mount Batur View Point. The host, Ari, was incredibly kind in helping us clear up the mess. He then assisted us with booking jeeps and discussed guides etc. The rooms were excellent, with tea / coffee making facilities and hot showers. There is no A/C but it is unnecessary at that altitude. The rooms are separated from the lake by a lawn with BBQ area and a small onion field. Ari took my kids down to a pontoon on the lake where people were fishing. He then took us to some less well known, but very nice, hot spring pools, a short walk away. Later he cooked a wonderful BBQ chicken meal (If you want pork sausages, bring your own). We ate looking out across the lake. The next morning Ari was up at 5am to make sure the jeeps arrived and we were ready to go. After we returned from the jeep tour, Ari cooked breakfast of either pancakes and honey, scrambled egg and toast or fried noodles. All were delicious. I couldn't have asked for a nicer host or better facilities and I am sure that we will stay there again. Our 2 jeep's drivers, arranged through Ari, were also excellent.

The only negative issue was the flies. These are omnipresent in the Batur lake area and the guest house owner has no control over them. I was warned in advance and they didn't affect our stay. Just remember to keep the room doors closed so they don't get into the room.

Clean & comfy. The room really has nice view, and the room is actually better than the pictures in the listing. The flies were not that bad, and it is not because of the property, but from the area. The host is friendly & responsive. We also got 1 time access to the hot spring nearby the property. Breakfast is also nice. Hot water & wifi working really well.

Close to the lake and hot springs. Rooms were comfortable staff was great. This is nature expect the unexpected.
